  • Patent number: 11095073
Abstract: A locking clip for plug housings has a rear wall and side parts formed on the rear wall. The locking clip has a U-shaped cross-section. The side parts each have a mounting receptacle, by which the locking device can be pivotably mounted on the plug housing. The locking device has an embossment directed toward the plug housing in the region of each mounting receptacle. Thus, the locking device is not supported on the plug body over the full surface, and therefore a lower-wear locking operation is ensured. A system includes a first plug housing and a second plug housing and a locking clip. The locking clip is pivotably mounted on the first plug housing by mounting pins. The locking clip can be locked on the second plug housing on locking pins. The locking clip touches the plug housings only at the mounting pins and at the locking pins.

  • Patent number: 10601178
Abstract: The invention relates to a locking device for plug connector housings, wherein the locking device (1) can be mounted pivotably on a first plug connector housing (12), wherein the locking device (1) can be locked on a second plug connector housing (14), as a result of which the first and the second plug connector housings (12, 14) can be pressed resiliently against each other. The locking device has means which prevent inadvertent opening of a closed plug connection. This makes it possible to avoid machine failures and accidents. The invention also relates to a method for releasing a first plug connector housing (12) from a second plug connector housing (14) with a locking device (1) which is mounted pivotably on the first plug connector housing (12) and can be locked on the second plug connector housing (14), wherein a force required for a pivoting-open movement increases abruptly during the pivoting-open movement.

  • Publication number: 20170005420
Abstract: In parallel screw connections, which are preferably used in series terminals, the transmission of force from the connection screw to electric conductors which have different diameters is not always optimal. As a solution, the clamping element is mounted in or on the connection housing both in a movable manner as well as in a rotational manner about a rotational axis. By screwing the connection screw, the clamping element is moved in the direction of the electric conductor, mechanically contacts the electric conductor, is rotated by further screwing the connection screw about the rotational axis, and thus presses the electric conductor against the busbar with a corresponding degree of force. In this manner, an optimal pressing force is ensured independently of the respective diameter of the electric conductor.

  • Patent number: 9502786
Abstract: Disclosed is an electrical contact element for contacting an electrical strand conductor, wherein the electrical contact element has a connecting side and a plugging side. A splicing element is provided in a connecting sleeve that forms the connecting side so as to electrically contact an electrical strand conductor in a more effective manner. The splicing element is provided for the purpose of separating out the individual strands of the conductor, contacting as large as possible a surface of the individual strands and penetrating the surface of the strands during a squeezing or crimping action. The arrangement provides a reliable, electrical contact of strand conductors in which a surface of the individual strands that is not suitable for being contacted and is poorly conductive is penetrated.

  • Patent number: 8900018
Abstract: A plug connector system for a plug connection between electrical conductors, wherein the plug connector system accommodates plug modules with electrical contacts contained therein. The plug modules are first inserted into a region of a holding frame. A plug insert may be arranged in the holding frame and locked in place, and then subsequently slid 90° sideways in the holding frame and held in place. The holding frame is designed as a self-supporting part of the plug connector system, for the purpose of accommodating the plug modules, and can provide protection from external influences by means of a surrounding housing. The plug modules can be inserted into the holding frames from both sides, meaning in the direction in which the connection is made, or also in the opposite direction.
