  • Publication number: 20080099957
Abstract: A four-plate mold assembly for producing a single-piece biasing clip. The four plate sections include a lower plate with a cavity to form the lower clip member; an upper plate with a cavity to form the upper clip member; and two intermediate plates in between the upper and lower plates which are separable from each other defining a parting line. The clip is a single-piece biasing clip adapted to receive and retain a garment hanger in a rod space of the and to receive and retain wearing apparel. Making the single-piece clip comprises placing all plate sections together, introducing molten material to the mold assembly, and allowing it to harden. After it has hardened, the upper plate is removed exposing the top clip member, followed by removal of each intermediate plate to expose the bottom clip member. The clip is then removed from the bottom plate.

  • Patent number: 5346110
Abstract: A one-piece garment hanger formed from a plastic material includes an elongated hanger body integrally molded from a plastic material having first and second opposing ends. A first arm is integrally formed to the first end of the hanger and a second arm is integrally formed to the second end of the hanger. The first and second arms extend downwardly and outwardly from the hanger body at an acute angle with respect thereto. Integrally formed essentially semi-circular biasing webs biasingly couple the first and second arms to the garment hanger body. The first and second arms are manually forcible against the opposing spring action provided by the biasing webs to releasably capture a garment therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5289956
Abstract: A garment hanger adapted to support an elongated rod. The garment hanger includes an elongated body having two ends and a supporting portion therebetween. The ends of the body extend downwardly to form a pair of spaced legs each having a rod receiving portion. Each rod receiving portion is defined by a bottom wall, a back wall joined to the bottom wall and forming a part of the body, a side wall and a front wall joined to the bottom wall and side wall and spaced a predetermined distance from the back wall to define an initial rod receiving pocket. A secondary rod receiving pocket is defined below the initial rod receiving pocket and is offset therefrom. The width of the initial and secondary rod receiving pockets are essentially the same as the diameter of the rod to permit the rod to be locked in the secondary rod receiving pocket.
