  • Patent number: 4434735
Abstract: A sewing machine is described comprising a mechanism arranged to convert movement signals generated by a decoder unit into movements of a feed dog for the fabric with the main characteristic of the machine being that said mechanism comprises a plurality of levers; a selector unit which is controlled by the decoder unit and selects one of said levers, to place this latter in a working position; a member angularly coupled to a control shaft for the dog and angularly positionable in a predetermined angular position by the selected lever; and a dragging element controlled by said decoder unit and arranged to move the member from its predetermined angular position towards an angular reference position.

  • Patent number: 4389130
Abstract: A typewriter (not illustrated) using a daisy wheel as the type carrying member and having a unit which drives the daisy wheel element to rotate about its axis and a device for coupling the daisy wheel element onto the drive unit. The coupling device substantially comprises a pin which engages a hole in the daisy wheel element; first resilient means carried by the unit and operable to transmit to the daisy wheel element an axial thrust in a first direction; second resilient means operable to transmit to the daisy wheel element an axial thrust in a direction opposite the thrust generated by the first mentioned means; and manual control means which act on the said second resilient means in such a way as to compensate, if actuated, the thrust generated by such second resilient means.

  • Patent number: 4077505
Abstract: A dot-matrix printing device for a printing office machine, comprising a series of striking bars in the proximity of the recording medium movable transversely of the medium for printing dots in different locations. The bars are adapted to be actuated by the armatures of corresponding electromagnets for impressing individual dots of characters. The striking bars are guided in the proximity of the recording medium by a movable guide which effects the transverse movement and each electromagnet has a fixed core and a movable armature in articulated engagement with the corresponding bar. Each armature is provided with an actuating spring which tends to move the armature away from the core of the electromagnet.

  • Patent number: 4058707
Abstract: A system for introducing the instructions of a program into an accounting or similar programmable office machine comprises a drum mounted rotatable into a container and carrying at its periphery a plurality of removable and programmable code bars. A feed mechanism and a reading unit are disposed into the office machine for rotating step by step the drum with respect to the container to bring serially the code bars in front of the reading unit. A locking mechanism locks the container into the office machine during the reading cycle. At the end of the reading of the program the locking mechanism is released allowing the container to be removed from the office machine.

  • Patent number: 4016602
Abstract: A cartridge for endless magnetic tape loops including a cover containing a pair of supports substantially coplanar with the other and between which is wound a magnetic tape in lengthening coils. A third support guides a connecting coil which connects the innermost coil with the outermost coil of the loop. The third support is substantially coplanar with the pair of supports in such a way that the connecting coil is substantially coplanar with the other coils of the tape recording and/or reading device for a magnetic tape contained in a cartridge which includes at least one window through which the tape contained therein may be reached. The device includes a capstan, a pressure roller and a magnetic recording and/or reading head mounted on an activation lever. A spring element normally holds this lever against the action of a pressure spring.
