  • Patent number: 11714097
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for aligning process data to a flow of material in a manufacturing process. That is, the disclosed embodiments enable tracking of material as that material travels (e.g., via a transportation mechanism such as a conveyor belt) between various processing devices in the manufacturing process. Each processing device may include one or more sensors. For example, the disclosed system and method enable tracking the same material over different manufacturing steps.

  • Patent number: 11610181
Abstract: A system tracks material flow during a production process. In particular, the system receives, from a materials container, a plurality of sensor readings. The materials container comprises a plurality of sensors at one or more intake locations and one or more outlet locations. The system generates an input data set and an output data set from the plurality of sensor readings. The system stores a first electronic ledger entry on an electronic ledger. The first electronic entry comprises the input data set and a time that sensor readings corresponding to the one or more intake locations were taken. The system stores a second electronic ledger entry on the electronic ledger. The second electronic entry comprises the output data set and a time that sensor readings corresponding to the one or more outlet locations were taken. The system generates display data associate with the first and second electronic ledger entries.

  • Patent number: 10961096
Abstract: A method of using simple blocks and wedges, designed to temporarily support a pallet, to create access for a pallet jack underneath the pallet, to enable a properly supported and balanced movement of the load resting on the pallet. The method utilizes two wedges, triangular in shape (each having an angled surface, a bottom surface and a hook), two blocks, rectangular in shape (each having two side walls and a hook), and a commercially-available pallet jack (manually or mechanically operated). The method enables the end-user to provide a temporary, balanced support of a pallet during the gradual increase or decrease in elevation of the pallet. This adjustment of the pallet's elevation, creates access for a pallet jack in the middle of the pallet, that was previously unavailable.

  • Publication number: 20070275717
Abstract: Techniques for efficiently performing network selection using information stored at a terminal are described herein. The terminal may store coverage information for previously detected wireless networks, cell information for previously detected cells in wireless networks, usage information for previously accessed wireless networks, availability information for previously detected wireless networks, almanac information for cells in wireless networks (e.g., information on cells available at different locations and information for acquiring the cells), and/or other information that may be useful for network selection. The terminal may select a wireless network to attempt acquisition based on the stored coverage information and its current location, the stored cell information and information for the current location (e.g., an identity of a cell detected at the current location), the stored usage information, the stored availability information, and/or the stored almanac information.

  • Publication number: 20070060167
Abstract: A control scheme using packet headers allows GSM EDGE Radio Access Network (GERAN) systems to increase spectral efficiency through multiplexing techniques, such as superposition coding, multi-user packet transmission, joint detection, and/or joint decoding. A fast feedback scheme for GERAN allows Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) frames to be transmitted over GERAN air interfaces without excessive feedback latency. As a result, Hybrid Automatic Repeat-reQuest (H-ARQ) acknowledgements may be timely provided for end-to-end VoIP calls that traverse GERAN air interfaces. Additionally, Incremental Redundancy H-ARQ and link quality feedback latencies are decreased.

  • Publication number: 20050233700
Abstract: A method in a hybrid wireless communications device, including comparing a mobility measurement of the wireless communications device to a mobility threshold while connected to a broadband wireless network. In one embodiment, the mobility measure is computed based on signal measurement regression error. The wireless communications device enters a state (612) that monitors a cellular communications network if the mobility measurement is greater than a mobility threshold, and enters a state (614) not monitoring the cellular communications network if the mobility measurement is not greater than the mobility threshold.
