  • Patent number: 9099774
Abstract: An apparatus including an antenna having an active element and a parasitic element; and at least one support, where the antenna is at least partially on the at least one support, where the at least one support includes a first section coupled to a second different section, where the active element is at least partially on the first section, and where the first section is at least partially formed with a first manufacturing process and a first material. The parasitic element is at least partially on the second section, and the second section is at least partially formed with a second different manufacturing process and a second different material.

  • Patent number: 8896489
Abstract: An apparatus including an antenna; a first antenna carrier forming a first support substrate for a first portion of the antenna; and a different second antenna carrier forming a second support substrate for a second portion of the antenna. The first and second antenna carriers are coupled to each other. The antenna extends across a joint between the first and second antenna carriers.

  • Patent number: 8610638
Abstract: An antenna radiating element is arranged as at least one coil and defines a first feed port and a second feed port at its opposed ends. There is a third feed port disposed along the antenna radiating element substantially at a radio frequency effective symmetry point between the first and the second radio feed ports. The first and second feed ports are for interfacing a first radio (e.g., RFID/NFC radio) to the antenna radiating element, and the third feed port is for interfacing a second radio (e.g., FM-TX) to the antenna radiating element. The antenna radiating element is configured to function simultaneously as a balanced coil antenna with respect to the first radio and as two parallel half-loop antennas with respect to the second radio.

  • Patent number: 8471768
Abstract: In accordance with one example embodiment of the present invention an apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a cover, a ground plane, a first inductor, and a second inductor. The cover includes a first end and an opposite second end. The cover is configured to operate as a first loop radiator portion. The ground plane is proximate the cover. The ground plane is configured to operate as a second loop radiator portion. The first inductor is proximate the first end of the cover. The second inductor is between the second end of the cover and the ground plane. The cover, the ground plane, the first inductor, and the second inductor are configured to provide a loop radiator.

  • Publication number: 20020181725
Abstract: A method of providing at least part of a diaphragm and at least a part of a back-plate of a condenser microphone with a hydrophobic layer so as to avoid stiction between said diaphragm and said back-plate. The layer is deposited via a number small of openings in the back-plate, the diaphragm and/or between the diaphragm and the back-plate. Provides a homogeneous and structured hydrophobic layer, even to small internal cavities of the microstructure. The layer may be deposited by a liquid phase or a vapor phase deposition method. The method may be applied naturally in continuation of the normal manufacturing process.
