Abstract: Apparatus for controlling peripheral devices through tongue movement, includes a mouthpiece which is disposable in the oral cavity of a user and comprises a bar magnet which is connected to a tongue receptacle and securely supported by a multi-functional sealing ring of caoutchouc in a hollow cylindrical central housing. Accommodated in a sealed interior space of the housing are a plurality of Hall elements by which an analog Hall voltage commensurate with the motion of the bar magnet displaced by the tongue via the tongue receptacle is quantitatively and directionally detected.
