  • Patent number: 11157220
Abstract: A communication apparatus automatically establishes a wireless communication connection with an image processing apparatus. The communication apparatus captures one of more images of the image processing apparatus and determines, via image recognition process the identification information associated with the image processing apparatus. The communication apparatus automatically searches configuration information matching the identification information of the image processing apparatus and initiates the communication connection request. Communication apparatus provides the status information on a display screen of the communication apparatus and establishes a connection between the image processing apparatus and the communication apparatus.

  • Patent number: 10097729
Abstract: A system and method provides features for accessing an image processing device by an authorized user and assigning a temporary identifier to the image processing device. The image processing device creates mapping information that associates the authorized user, the temporary identifier and a network address of the image processing device, and stores the mapping information on a server. The user provides voice input commands to a personal assistant application, the voice input commands including the temporary identifier of the image processing device and a requested job functions of the image processing device. The server receives and interprets the voice input commands from the personal assistant application and determines, by recalling the mapping information stored, verifying whether the image processing device having the temporary identifier is available to perform the requested job functions.

  • Patent number: 9832341
Abstract: A mobile data processing method, in which a request for performing an imaging data request by an image processing apparatus is initiated from a user of a mobile device. The method includes receiving first information generated by an image processing apparatus and second information generated by the mobile device. The first information and the second information are received by an information processing apparatus via a public network. The first and second information are stored in association with each other. The method continues by determining if a print job was received with the first information and the second information. The method may conclude by transmitting the imaging data request to the image processing apparatus from the information processing apparatus via a private network in response to determining that the imaging data request was received with the first information and the second information.

  • Publication number: 20170078529
Abstract: A system that deters an unauthorized person from viewing the image in the display of a handheld electronic device. The handheld electronic device has a touch screen display. A touch security parameter requires a person to repeatedly tap the touch screen display with one or two fingers. The touch screen display will only accurately display an image for as long as the tapping continues. A camera security parameter senses the location of a face in the field of view of a camera. The touch screen display will only accurately show the image for as long as a face is detected in the camera's field of view. A position security parameter detects pitch and yaw with respect to the downward direction of gravity. The touch screen display will only accurately show the image for as long as the display is held within a range of acceptable positions.

  • Publication number: 20150296099
Abstract: A mobile data processing method, in which a request for performing a data processing job by a data processing device is initiated from a user of a mobile device. A device code of the mobile device in association with the user is transmitted to the data processing device. The user is authenticated by the data processing device. Whether the device code of the mobile device is identifiable by the data processing device is determined. An entry of the data processing job in association with the user and the device code of the mobile device is created in the data processing device if the device code of the mobile device is identified by the data processing device. The data processing job is executed if the entry of the data processing job is created and stored in association with the user and the device in the data processing device.
