Patent number: 10210554Abstract: A system and method of browsing electronic catalogs from a plurality of merchants. The electronic catalog system emulates the portability and usability of a traditional paper and ink catalog, especially when realized on a tablet or mobile device. Product data feeds from multiple merchants are collected and processed to build a product database. A server retrieves product data and serves it to users browsing the electronic catalogs. Users can request more detailed information and order products through the server and merchant websites. Users communicate with the server and merchant websites either through a standalone software application or via a standard web browser. Merchants are able to update the contents of their electronic catalogs through a merchant portal.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2015Date of Patent: February 19, 2019Assignee: America by Mail, Inc.Inventors: Richard Linevsky, Lauren Singer, Matthew Craine, Nigel Gray

Patent number: 9719596Abstract: A piston ring (2) having increased fatigue resistance includes a plastically deformable material. The piston ring (2) has a running face (4), which is delimited at the top by an upper running face edge (3) and at the bottom by a lower running face edge (1). Compressive stresses are introduced into the upper running face edge (3) and/or into the lower running face edge (1) along at least one part of the circumference, the compressive stresses having been produced by roller burnishing.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2013Date of Patent: August 1, 2017Assignee: Federal-Mogul Burscheid GmbHInventors: Nigel Gray, Stephan Machliner

Patent number: 4678194Abstract: The present invention relates to a target having conductive fibres in a plurality of beds into which a transmitting/receiving projectile may be embedded with a portion of the projectile remaining protruding from the target. Each bed indicates a score and is electronically insulated from the other. In some embodiments the separate scoring portions of the target transmit different signals with the signal from the projectile embedded in that portion of the target being radiated at a greater strength. The strongest signal (indicative of the portion of the target struck) is received by a nearby receiver and the score displayed. An alternative embodiment utilizes an externally transmitted signal and the projectile acts as a receiving antenna, conveying the signal to only that target bed in which the projectile is embedded and the individual beds are connected to the scoring display system.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1984Date of Patent: July 7, 1987Assignee: Viragate LimitedInventors: William H. Bowyer, Robert L. Crocker, Christopher M. Hansford, Leslie K. Parker, Nigel Gray
