  • Publication number: 20250001077
Abstract: A pharmacy preparation system, apparatus, and method are disclosed. In an example, a pharmacy preparation system receives information indicative of a soft tissue peak for a mid-section of a patient. The soft tissue peak corresponds to a local peak in a range of ?50 Hounsfield Units (“HU”) to 80 HU. The pharmacy preparation system next determines a dosing regimen as a total volume of a nutrition solution to be infused per a time period based on the soft tissue peak and at least one of a gender, a height, or an ideal body weight of the patient. The pharmacy preparation system then determines administration parameters for a parenteral nutrition pump based on the dosing regimen. The pharmacy preparation system transmits an administration message to the parenteral nutrition pump to cause a nutritional therapy to be administered to the patient according to the administration parameters.

  • Patent number: 12083317
Abstract: A parenteral nutritional diagnostic system, apparatus, and method are disclosed. In an example, a parenteral nutritional diagnostic apparatus determines muscle quantity and muscle quality of a patient's psoas muscle to determine a nutritional status of the patient. An image interface is configured to receive a medical image including radiodensity data related to imaged tissue of the patient. The apparatus also includes a processor configured to use the medical image to determine a tissue surface area for each different value of radiodensity and determine a distribution of the tissue surface area for each radiodensity value. The processor is configured to determine muscle quality by locating a soft tissue peak within the distribution that corresponds to a local peak in at a region related to at least one of muscle tissue, organ tissue, and intramuscular adipose tissue. The processor determines the nutritional status of the patient based on the soft tissue peak.

  • Publication number: 20090096807
Abstract: Systems and methods for colorizing an image. In one embodiment, a method for colorizing an image comprises assigning a first color from a first color map to a data point to define a first graphical element, assigning a second color from a perceptual color map to the data point to define a second graphical element, calculating a first luminance for the first graphical element, calculating a second luminance for the second graphical element, adjusting a brightness associated with the first graphical element until the first luminance and the second luminance match within a first predetermined range, and adjusting a saturation associated with the first graphical element until the first luminance and the second luminance match within a second predetermined range.
