  • Publication number: 20070042931
Abstract: The present invention relates to a solid laundry detergent composition in particulate form, comprising: (a) anionic detersive surfactant; (b) a solid carrier material having: (i) a total pore volume of greater than 0.3 ml/g; (ii) an average pore diameter of greater than 3 micrometers; and (iii) a surface area of less than 1.0 m2/g; (c) from 0% to less than 5%, by weight of the composition, of zeolite builder; (d) from 0% to less than 5%, by weight of the composition, of phosphate builder and (e) optionally, from 0% to less than 5%, by weight of the composition, of silicate salt; wherein at least part of the anionic detersive surfactant and at least part of the solid carrier material are in the form of a co-particulate admix.

  • Publication number: 20070042926
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing a solid laundry detergent composition comprising: (a) anionic detersive surfactant; (b) from 0% to less than 5%, by weight of the composition, of zeolite builder; (c) from 0% to less than 5%, by weight of the composition, of phosphate builder; and (d) optionally, from 0% to less than 5%, by weight of the composition, of silicate salt; wherein the process comprises the steps of: (i) preparing an aqueous mixture comprising an anionic detersive surfactant; (ii) subjecting the aqueous mixture to a first drying step having a mean drying-duration time of less than 60 seconds and a mean drying rate of from 0.005 to 0.030 kg of water per kg of aqueous mixture per second to form a partially dried aqueous mixture; and (iii) subjecting the partially dried aqueous mixture to a second drying step having a mean drying-duration time of at least 10 seconds and a mean drying rate of from 0.0005 to less than 0.

  • Publication number: 20060288592
Abstract: A reciprocating saw is provided which includes a drive shaft having a saw blade clamping means at an end thereof for securing a saw blade thereto in use, and drive means for driving reciprocation of the drive shaft and thus an attached saw blade relative to a body portion of the saw in use. The saw further includes saw blade support means for engaging a surface of the saw blade in use for supporting the same. The saw blade support means is pivotally mounted to a part of the body portion of the saw or to a substantially stationary bearing associated with the drive shaft to allow passive movement of the blade support means with the drive shaft and/or saw blade in use.

  • Publication number: 20060168824
Abstract: A power tool is provided including a housing and drive means for driving a component to perform an operation on a workpiece. A base plate is provided on a base of said housing and said base plate is brought into contact with the workpiece when performing the operation. The tool further includes storage means adapted to store at least one component when not in use. The storage means are formed at least partially in or on the base plate.

  • Publication number: 20060111026
Abstract: The invention relates to apparatus for use in the sharpening of tools and in particular to apparatus for the sharpening of selected ones of a plurality of different tools, said apparatus including a grinding wheel and a plurality of tool holders. At least one of the tool holders is connected to the apparatus so as to be movable between out-of-use and in-use positions thereby allowing the cool holder to be positioned accurately. In one embodiment the housing is provided on a base which is provided with storage means for other sharpening implements and/or accessories.

  • Publication number: 20060096103
Abstract: The invention relates to a blade which allows a saw blade, such as a blade for a reciprocating saw in the form of a jigsaw, to be held securely therein for use and to allow the same to be selectively inserted and removed without the need for tools to be used by the user. The insertion of the blade into the holder can be achieved by the user moving the end of the blade into a channel in the blade holder whereupon clamping automatically occurs and the release of the blade requires the manipulation of a release means by the user so that the blade cannot be inadvertently released from the blade holder. The holder incorporates a roller which is movable within a chamber within the blade holder between release and clamping positions.
