  • Publication number: 20170291656
Abstract: The invention relates to a bicycle trailer, in particular for transporting children, comprising a chassis (1, 23) and a frame which is connected to the chassis for a passenger compartment. The trailer has at least two wheels (2, 21) and can be provided with a towbar (3, 22) for hitching to a bicycle and at least one third wheel in order to use the bicycle trailer as a stroller or as a jogger. The trailer has a lighting device (14, 35) and a push handle (6, 25). The aim of the invention is to provide such a bicycle trailer in which the handling of the lighting device is simplified. According to the invention, this is achieved in that at least one lighting device is integrated into the push handle or into a coupling for securing the push handle to the frame.

  • Patent number: 6201868
Abstract: A telephone handset construction is provided, which has a movable cover which is articulable from a closed position to an open position. The cover has a rigid portion and a flexible portion. When the cover is in the closed position, the flexible portion thereof is furled around front and top portions of the main body of the telephone handset. Upon deployment of the cover, by pulling the rigid portion of the cover in a direction away from the main body of the handset, the flexible portion of the cover is unfurled and moved to a position substantially covering the back of the main body portion of the handset.

  • Patent number: 5924354
Abstract: An infusion container having an interior receiving a liquid to be infused and an infusible substance. Mounted to the container is a pivotal member which cooperates with a baffle means to define a region in the container which receives the infusible substance. Both the pivotal member and baffle means are adapted to permit passage of the infusing liquid, but not of the infusible substance. In use, the pivotal member can be pivoted through the interior by moving handle, to lift the infusible substance out of the infusing liquid to halt the infusion process at the desired time.

  • Patent number: 5863752
Abstract: A method of monitoring the growth of microorganisms in liquid culture involving the detection of pressure change in a gas-tight container such as a blood culture bottle incorporating a flexible diaphragm (septum) by detecting displacement of the septum, is characterised by the position or conformation of the diaphragm being repeatedly sensed using a distance-measuring means, such as a laser, preferably capable of detecting a variation in the position or conformation of the diaphragm to an accuracy of 200.mu. or better, with a portion of the container adjacent the diaphragm conveniently being used as a reference to detect any relative positional or conformational change of the diaphragm. Preferably the laser repeatedly scans a plurality of containers mounted in a holder such as a flat bed or a carousel.
