  • Publication number: 20200037112
Abstract: In aspects of location correlation in a region, a mobile device implements a location module that determines a current location of the mobile device in a region within communication range of a radio system based on location data received in radio signals from the radio system. The location module determines region coordinates at the current location of the mobile device in the region. The location module can then associate the region coordinates at the current location of the mobile device in the region with pixel grid coordinates determined from a digital image view as captured by a camera system in the region, and generate a location mapping of the region based on the current location and subsequent locations of the mobile device in the region. The location mapping correlates the locations of the mobile device in the region based on the pixel grid coordinates at the respective locations.

  • Patent number: 10521627
Abstract: A method and data processing device for detecting and tracking objects in a space. The method includes transmitting an inquiry signal that traverses into the space, which is behind a physical barrier and is pre-configured with a plurality of radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. The method includes transmitting, via a RFID module, a second signal at a second frequency range. The method includes monitoring for a RFID response signal, which is a backscatter signal generated in response to the second signal impinging on the RFID tag and one or more objects in the space. The method includes identifying and extracting an interference reflection signal from the response signal to determine a presence of an unknown object. The method includes tracking the unknown object within the space and providing more specific position data of the unknown object within the space, to a display of an electronic device.

  • Patent number: 10499194
Abstract: In aspects of location correlation in a region based on signal strength indications, a mobile device implements a location module that determines a current location of the mobile device in a region within communication range of a first radio system based on location data received in radio signals from the first radio system. The location module determines received signal strength indication (RSSI) values from signals received from a second radio system at the current location of the mobile device. The location module can then associate the current location of the mobile device in the region with the RSSI values, and generate a location mapping of the region based on the current location and subsequent locations of the mobile device in the region. The location mapping correlates the locations of the mobile device in the region with the determined RSSI values at the respective locations.

  • Publication number: 20190354735
Abstract: A method and data processing device for receiving at least one response signal corresponding to a respective tag. The method includes, identifying a directional location of the respective tag relative to the user device. The method includes activating a camera device to focus on one or more focal points in an area in the directional location of the respective tag. The method includes estimating a distance of the respective tag relative to the user device. The method includes capturing an image of an object located within the area in the directional location of the respective tag. The method includes correlating the directional location, distance of the respective tag, and image of the object to generate corresponding position information. The position information provides more precise point location of the object. The method includes outputting the corresponding position information to an electronic display.
