  • Publication number: 20240220097
Abstract: Various embodiments include methods for receiving user inputs to a computing device via a virtual mouse function. Methods may include tracking movements of a user's hand, moving a cursor of a virtual mouse in a graphical user interface (GUI) responsive to hand movements, predicting a target user interface element for the cursor in the GUI, and adjusting a speed of the cursor in the GUI based on a distance to the predicted target user interface element so that fingers of the user's hand will be on or over particular keys on the physical keyboard when the cursor is on the predicted target user interface element. Methods may further include switching from a normal operating mode to the virtual mouse operating mode in response to recognizing a user gesture. In the virtual mouse operating mode, key presses on the physical keyboard are translated into mouse click inputs.

  • Publication number: 20200304313
Abstract: The present approach relates to techniques for facilitating acquisition of electronic signatures (e-signatures) and/or acknowledgements in the context of electronic forms or documents. In one aspect, a designer may be used to configure tasks corresponding to signature or acknowledgment events that may be added to a person's to-do list or task management application or portal. Interaction with the task to complete the task may then be in accordance with the guidance programmed by the designer, such as to acquire a signature or acknowledgment. In certain aspects, the signature or acknowledgement tasks may be configured for display and completion on a mobile device (e.g., a handheld device such as a phone or tablet computer).

  • Publication number: 20190073520
Abstract: This description describes a system for identifying individuals within a digital file. The system accesses a digital file describing the movement of unidentified individuals and detects a face for an unidentified individual at a plurality of locations in the video. The system divides the digital file into a set of segments and detects a face of an unidentified individual by applying a detection algorithm to each segment. For each detected face, the system applies a recognition algorithm to extract feature vectors representative of the identity of the detected faces which are stored in computer memory. The system applies a recognition algorithm to query the extracted feature vectors for target individuals by matching unidentified individuals to target individuals, determining a confidence level describing the likelihood that the match is correct, and generating a report to be presented to a user of the system.
