  • Patent number: 10480604
Abstract: A shock absorber having an outer tube, an inner tube disposed coaxially in the outer tube and a piston reciprocally mounted in the inner tube. The interior of the inner tubes forms a working chamber for hydraulic oil while an annular replenishment chamber is formed between the inner and outer tubes. An improved base plate and base cage assembly facilitates fluid flow from the replenishment chamber to the working chamber during an extension cycle of the shock absorber.

  • Patent number: 10443595
Abstract: A fuel pump having a housing defining a pump chamber and an inlet and outlet fluidly connected to the pump chamber. A one way check valve is disposed fluidly in series between the pump chamber and the outlet and is oriented to allow fluid flow from the pump chamber and to the outlet when the check valve is open. A venturi tube is fluidly connected in series between the pump chamber and the outlet which effectively dampens noise pulsations. An inlet valve to the pump chamber has an anchor attached to a valve member and the stationary core. A conical surface on the core abuts against a complementary conical surface on the anchor when the valve is either in its fully open or fully closed position.

  • Patent number: 10424132
Abstract: In some examples, a system may receive, over a network from a vehicle computing device onboard a vehicle, sensor data for at least one sensed parameter of a vehicle component. The system may determine, based on the sensor data, a damage result indicative of fatigue damage to the vehicle component. Based at least partially on the damage result, the system may send a communication to at least one of the vehicle computing device onboard the vehicle, or a computing device associated with an account associated with the vehicle. In some cases, the damage result may be determined from at least one of accessing a lookup table using the sensor data, or executing a fatigue simulation using sensor data.

  • Publication number: 20170152824
Abstract: A pump having a housing defining a pump chamber, an inlet, and an inlet passageway fluidly connecting the inlet to the pump chamber. A solenoid actuated inlet valve is disposed in series with the inlet passageway and movable between an open position and a closed position. A core is mounted to the housing while an anchor is aligned along an axis with the core in the housing. The anchor mechanically contacts the valve member so that the anchor displaces the valve member between its open and closed position as the anchor moves between a first and a second position. The facing ends of the anchor and core are shaped so that only a portion of the area of those ends come in contact with each other when the solenoid is energized and the anchor is in its second position thereby reducing the impact sound.
