  • Publication number: 20220231915
Abstract: Techniques for automated configuration are provided. A first device detects a new device connected by one or more new links in a network, and the first device transmits, to a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server, a request for a first new subnet. The first device then assigns a first address of the first new subnet to a first new interface of the first device. The first device additionally transmits a second address of the first new subnet to the new device, where the new device uses the second address to establish connectivity to the network.

  • Patent number: 11367431
Abstract: A speech-processing system receives both text data and natural-understanding data (e.g., a domain, intent, and/or entity) related to a command represented in the text data. The system uses the natural-understanding data to vary vocal characteristics in determining spectrogram data corresponding to the text data based on the natural-understanding data.

  • Publication number: 20220180331
Abstract: Systems and methods for tokenizing money market fund shares for use as collateral or in other transactions are disclosed. Methods may tokenize money market fund shares and using the tokens collateral without having to redeem the shares from the underlying money market fund. This may bring velocity to trapped assets, such as money market fund shares, which traditionally bring many challenges and cannot be used as collateral. The money market fund shares may be encumbered in underlying collateral transfer agency ledgers through use of an account structure where the money market fund shares may be moved from an account of the money market fund shares holder, through a pass-through account, and then to a tokenization account. Once the money market fund shares are moved to the tokenization account, the collateral provider cannot unilaterally access the money market fund shares. This ensures encumbrance.

  • Patent number: 11314304
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques for datacenter power management using variable power sources. Power from the variable power sources is stored in a power cache. An optimization engine receives input criteria such as power availability from non-variable and variable power sources, as well as one or more power management goals. The optimization engine implements a dispatch strategy that dispatches stored energy from the power cache and feeds it to the datacenter, resulting in a mixture of non-variable and variable power sources used to achieve the power management goals, such as reduced power cost, increased power availability, and lowered carbon footprint for the datacenter.

  • Publication number: 20210356455
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a newly conceived of platform for identifying novel pain and/or pruritus-inhibiting agents (e.g., small molecule compounds, peptides, antigen binding proteins (e.g., antibodies or antibody fragments) that are efficacious, safe, and non-addictive alternatives for pain and pruritus management in place of (or in some embodiments, in combination with) “first line” treatments, such as gabapentin, pregabalin, and opioids. The present disclosure also provides for a method of treating pain and/or a pruritus comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of an agent that activates a Gai/o-coupled G-Protein Coupled Receptor (GPCR) that is selectively expressed in the nociceptor and/or pruriceptor neuron subtypes of the somatosensory neurons.

  • Publication number: 20210271695
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to processing database transactions that include application operations defined by different object relational mapping (ORM) libraries. A transaction router module executing on a computer system receives, from an application, a request for a first database transaction, where the first database transaction includes first and second application operations. The transaction router module then translates the first application operation to one or more first database operations using a first ORM library and the second application operation to one or more second database operations using a second ORM library. Then, the transaction router module determines one or more database connections for the one or more first database operations and the one or more second database operations. Such techniques may advantageously allow applications to switch between using different persistence frameworks and message broker frameworks without substantial adjustments to application code.

  • Patent number: 11107016
Abstract: In disclosed techniques, augmented power control within a datacenter uses predictive modeling. A power usage by a first data rack within a datacenter is measured, using one or more processors, over a first period of time. A predicted power usage by the first data rack over a second period of time is generated on a computing device, wherein the second period of time is subsequent to the first period of time. A power correlation model is calculated that correlates a power prediction to an actual power usage. The predicted power usage for the second period of time is refined, based on the predicted power usage and the power correlation model. The refining is accomplished using a power prediction model comprising the predicted power usage and the power correlation model. Datacenter power structure is configured, based on the refined power usage prediction.

  • Publication number: 20210100122
Abstract: An electronic device with a sealing layer is disclosed. The sealing layer may include several enhancements designed to improve the overall sealing performance. For instance, the sealing layer may include an adhesive material and several particles embedded in the adhesive material. The embedded particles may include liquid-activated particles that respond to liquid exposure. In some instances, the liquid-activated particles absorb the liquid. Additionally, the liquid-activated particles may expand and fill/cover areas previously occupied by the sealing layer or another structure of the electronic device. Further, the liquid-activated particles may adhere to one or more structures of the electronic device, thereby providing the sealing layer with sealing properties.

  • Patent number: 10585927
Abstract: Methods and apparatus related to providing steps for completing a task based on analysis of multiple sources. A how-to query related to performing a task and a plurality of sources related to the how-to query may be identified. A set of steps related to performing the task may be determined based on analysis of the plurality of sources that are related to the how-to query, optionally including determining a confidence measure for the plurality of sources. The set of steps may be associated with the how-to query in a database. The set of steps may be provided to a user in response to the how-to query submitted by the user. In some implementations the analysis of the plurality of sources that are related to the how-to query may include comparing components of different sets of steps and identifying the common elements to determine a set of steps.

  • Patent number: 10455328
Abstract: Example embodiments relating to the adjustment of a microphone attached to a headset are provided. The adjustable headset detects a microphone attached to the headset at a first position and receives one or more speech signal inputs from a user. The headset calculates a feedback parameter which includes a confidence parameter, a vocabulary assistance parameter, and a node exit attempt parameter. The headset determines a pass state in an instance in which the feedback parameter satisfies a feedback threshold, to maintain the microphone at the first position. The headset determines a fail state in an instance in which the feedback parameter fails to satisfy a feedback threshold, to cause a stepper motor to move the microphone from the first position to a second position relative the user.
