    Abstract: The present invention is a compensated coiled tubing unit for use in off-shore applications. The unit includes a mechanism for providing both vertical and horizontal heave compensation. The heave compensation mechanism is incorporated into the jacking frame of the unit. The coiled tubing unit also includes a flexible riser system that connects the wellhead to the coiled tubing stack.
