  • Publication number: 20230173905
Abstract: A fastening arrangement of an energy store on a floor of a body for a motor vehicle is provided. The energy store is fastened to the floor of the body, wherein the floor has a central tunnel in which at least a partial region of an exhaust gas system for the motor vehicle runs. A respective storage device of the energy store is arranged on each side of the central tunnel and of the exhaust gas system in the transverse direction of the vehicle. The respective storage device of the energy store is fastened to the floor by means of at least one respective fixing device in such a manner that, as a result of an accident-induced application of force running in the transverse direction of the vehicle, the fastening of at least one of the storage devices is releasable in a targeted manner and the at least one storage device is thereby shiftable inwards in the transverse direction of the vehicle relative to the floor.

  • Publication number: 20220388576
Abstract: A passenger car has a self-supporting body, which has a roof opening. The roof opening is outwardly delimited in the vehicle transverse direction by lateral roof rails of the body and in the vehicle longitudinal direction by a transverse element of the body connected to the roof rails. A roof apparatus has a frame and at least one roof element that overlaps with at least part of the roof opening. The roof element is retained on the frame directly and on the body by way of the frame. The frame has a transverse frame part, on which the roof element is retained directly, the transverse frame part being connected directly to the transverse element of the body.

  • Patent number: 7926867
Abstract: A lengthwise extended component contains of a support that possesses flow channels in the direction of its longitudinal axis. The support additionally possesses external surfaces that are offset to each other in the direction of the longitudinal axis as well as a lateral external surface. These external surfaces are provided with a layer of a thermally expansible and curable composition. Reinforcing components of this type are suitable for stiffening and/or reinforcing hollow supports, such as the A-, B- or C-pillars, the roof edges or the rocker panels of vehicles, especially passenger cars.

  • Publication number: 20050242625
Abstract: A sidewall module of a motor vehicle in which a mounting beam which can be attached to the vehicle is preassembled with a self-supporting sidewall, and additional components may be installed in the sidewall module prior to assembly of the module on the vehicle. This approach to vehicle assembly creates a sidewall module that makes it possible to effectively utilize the construction space between the sidewall and the wheel house. Preferably, the mounting beam and the side wall are made of plastics, and the sidewall module is mounted on vehicle support structure arranged to permit the sidewall module to absorb energy in a collision with a pedestrian.
