  • Patent number: 9301670
Abstract: According to embodiments of the present invention, a dishwasher may provide an intensified wash effect. The dishwasher may include a rack defining a bottom and a sidewall, wherein the rack is adapted to receive dishware therein. A dishwashing fluid supply channel may be configured to supply dishwashing fluid to a spray assembly. The spray assembly may comprise at least one nozzle member. Thereby, the spray assembly may be adapted to receive the dishwashing fluid from the dishwashing fluid supply channel and to dispense the dishwashing fluid therethrough. The spray assembly may be coupled to the sidewall of the rack. Further, the nozzle member may be attached to an arm which is moveable between at least a first position wherein the arm is adjacent the sidewall of the rack and a second position wherein the arm is adjacent the bottom of the rack.

  • Patent number: 9125541
Abstract: A wash arm arrangement (20) for a dishwasher is disclosed which has a central arm (21) adapted to be rotatably connected with a first shaft (23) through which liquid under pressure is fed into said central arm during operation. A satellite arm (22) is rotatably connected with a second shaft (24) arranged on the central arm, and which is arranged separated a first radial distance rcs from the axis of rotation of the central arm. The second shaft supplies liquid to the satellite arm during operation. To provide the liquid to a washing area of the dishwasher, the satellite arm comprises at least one outer nozzle (25) for providing liquid to a washing area of the dishwasher.

  • Patent number: 8985126
Abstract: A wash arm arrangement (20) for a dishwasher is disclosed. The wash arm arrangement comprises a central arm (21) adapted to be rotatably connected with a first shaft (23) through which liquid under pressure is fed into the central arm during operation. A second shaft (24) is arranged on the central arm to provide liquid to a satellite arm (22) which is rotatably connected with the second shaft. The satellite arm comprises a collimating nozzle (25) with an exit. The collimating nozzle is arranged for providing a collimated jet for distributing liquid to a washing area of the dishwasher. The inventive concept is based on an understanding that by utilizing a collimated liquid jet with sufficient pressure and flow a good cleaning performance is achieved with a reduced water consumption.

  • Publication number: 20140360530
Abstract: The invention relates to methods for operating a washer, and in preferred embodiments to a washer having a water tank that is integrally, preferably detachably, formed with the washer, wherein the washer comprises a washing chamber for accommodating goods to be cleaned, said washing chamber having in its lower portion a sump for collecting water during operation of the washer, a water inlet, a circulating pump for circulating water through the washing chamber, and a control unit for controlling a washing cycle carried out by the washer. In accordance with the invention, in this method water is fed via the water inlet into the sump; the pressure within an inlet or outlet conduit of the circulating pump is measured; and based on the pressure measurement the washing cycle is controlled and/or indicator signals are issued to a user of the washer.

  • Patent number: 8844547
Abstract: A wash arm arrangement (100) for a dishwasher is disclosed. The wash arm arrangement comprises a central arm (121) adapted to be rotatably connected with a first liquid supply shaft (123) for providing pressurized liquid during operation of the dishwasher. The central arm has a first nozzle (130) arranged for outputting a jet of liquid during operation thereby providing a first reaction force Fc for rotating the central arm about its axis of rotation in a first direction. The wash arm arrangement further comprises a satellite arm (122) rotatably arranged on a second liquid supply shaft (124) arranged on an outer end of the central arm, the satellite arm having a second nozzle (131) arranged for outputting a jet of liquid during operation thereby providing a second reaction force Fs for rotating the satellite arm about its axis of rotation in a second direction being opposite to the first direction.
