  • Patent number: 4214758
Abstract: The flat sealing member of the device is forced against the end face of the mutually rotatable rollers by virtue of a bow-shaped projection having a triangular cross section and somewhat rounded off crest to provide a relatively linear contact. The above flat sealing member has a hollow interior space for a refrigerant and a lubricant to feed thereinto, both of them being then delivered to the zone of contact of the above projection and the end faces of the rollers. Such a system reduces wear on the rubber-coated roller surface and adds to the service durability of the whole unit.

  • Patent number: 4186571
Abstract: The device comprises a circular container for collecting the dripping down lubricant. Said container is located between the tiers of baffle plates and is connected by a recirculating pipe line with the roller lubricating pipe line. The device incorporates a tubular air heater which heats the surfaces of the baffle plates that might get in contact with the fabric being processed, and a heat exchanger in the lubricant supply line.

  • Patent number: 4148493
Abstract: A sealing device for high pressure apparatus designed for the treatment of fabric comprises a housing with two openings for inlet and outlet of the fabric, with two rolls contacting each other accommodated therein and adapted to rotate in the opposite direction for transporting the fabric being treated. Provided inside the housing are also two spaced apart bars arranged parallel to the rolls, each of the bars carrying a sealing member each of which contacts its respective roll. The bar ends made as trunnions rest upon bearings in the opposite walls of the housing and the overhung extensions of these trunnions protruding beyond the housing carry a suspension means for each of said two rolls, the suspension means being adjustable for length. The overhung extensions of the trunnions also carry a means for rocking motion of the sealing members relative to the axes of the bars. Such a construction of the sealing device ensures accurate adjustment of the sealing members with respect to the rolls.

  • Patent number: 4147366
Abstract: A rubberized roll for the sealing device of a high-pressure apparatus comprises a shell with pins provided at both ends thereof and protruding with their enlarged portion thereinside, thus defining the shell interior. One of the pins is provided with a through axial duct for a cooling agent to feed into the shell interior while the other pin has a similar duct only in its enlarged portion. Provided at the ends of the enlarged portions are collars forming an annular cavity in each of said enlarged portions, said annular cavity being connected to the axial duct of the respective enlarged portion and to the shell interior. An annular groove for retaining the rubberizing material therein is cut in the outer end face of the collar located at the outer ends of each enlarged portion of the pin. Such a construction of the roller provides for a uniform cooling of the surface thereof and contributes to a reliable adhesion of the rubberizing material to the roll end faces.

  • Patent number: 4136536
Abstract: The present invention relates to sealing devices and is most expedient to be applied in dyeing-and-finishing processes involved in textile industry. The hermetic seal of the chamber for treatment of bandlike material at an excess pressure has a hollow shell accommodating a pair of driving rollers for traversing the material under treatment, and a sealing device which hermetically divides, along with the rollers, the shell interior into an excess pressure zone communicating with the chamber, and an atmospheric pressure zone communicating with the atmosphere. According to the invention, communication between the atmospheric-pressure zone and the atmosphere is established through the agency of a check valve provided in the shell and made as a flexible sleeve whose bore is adapted for the bandlike material under treatment to freely pass. Such a constructional arrangement provides for reliable hermetic sealing of the chamber for treating bandlike material under an excess pressure.

  • Patent number: 4122691
Abstract: The present invention relates to equipment for treating a band-type material and can be used most successfully in the textile finishing and dyeing industry. The chamber for treating a band-type material under overpressure is formed by hermetically joined arched bottom, arched roof and side walls built into flanges so that the chamber has a crescent cross section and is provided with throats located near the flanges. This layout of the chamber reduces considerably its metal content and allows a number of chambers to be combined into a single installation to be used both for prolonged single-stage treatment and for multiple-stage treatment of the material.
