  • Method for electroslag welding with consumable plate electrodes

    Abstract: Ground metallic adding material is fed into the welding gap. Electrodes are introduced into the gap in pairs, one electrode in a pair opposite the other, at an angle equal to the angle of divergence of the end faces being welded together. The electrodes are positioned so that their larger faces are parallel with the end faces being welded together and the smaller faces extend beyond the side surface of the workpiece being welded.
