A fluid ingress detector that includes a soluble material is disclosed. A fluid ingress detector that includes a galvanic sensor is disclosed. The fluid ingress detector may provide a signal indicating a fluid ingress to an ultrasound imaging system and/or a maintenance diagnostic system.
