  • Patent number: 12411022
Abstract: A process and a system automatically determine a floor plan of a spatial area (Et). A mobile sensor arrangement includes a camera and a motion sensor and is moved through the spatial area (Et). The camera generates an image sequence. The motion sensor generates a motion signal. Using the motion signal, a camera trajectory (Tr) is determined that describes the actual motion path of the camera through the spatial area (Et). Those image segments in the images are determined that each show at least one person. Key points are detected in the remaining image segments. Contiguous horizontal surface segments (Zus.1, Zus.2, . . . ) are determined in the images. Using the horizontal surface segments (Zus.1, Zus.2, . . . ), contiguous floor segments (R.1, R.2) are determined. The floor plan is determined using the camera trajectory and the contiguous floor segments.

  • Publication number: 20240127536
Abstract: A process and arrangement automatically generate a floor plan of a building. A set of voxels in the form of polyhedrons is computationally generated and together fill the floor space. The edges of the polyhedron are parallel to the axes of a specified three-dimensional coordinate system. A camera (IR) is moved through the story and generates a sequence of images. The respective position and orientation of the camera (IR) while generating an image are measured. Characteristic key points (S1?, S2?, . . . ) are determined and positioned in the coordinate system. Free voxels (Vx, Vy), i.e. voxels inside a room, are determined. At least one cluster, including a topologically connected set of free voxels, is generated. An enveloping body is placed around each determined cluster. Each enveloping body describes the respective boundaries (W, F) of a room (R.x) of the story.

  • Publication number: 20180009447
Abstract: An earpiece includes an earpiece housing, a processor disposed within the ear piece housing, at least one inertial sensor disposed within the earpiece housing, the at least one inertial sensor operatively connected to the processor, and a wireless transceiver disposed within the earpiece housing and operatively connected to the processor. The earpiece is configured to exchange inertial data with a vehicle having one or more inertial sensors. The vehicle may be a motorcycle, moped, scooter, bicycle, electric bicycle, personal transporter, hover board, or other type of vehicle.
