    Abstract: A mechanism is provided in a data processing system for determining source authority for an answer to a question. The mechanism receives an input question from a user interface and determines a set of answers to the input question from a corpus of information. The corpus of information comprises a plurality of sources of information. For a given answer in the set of answers, the mechanism identifies a given source of a supporting passage. The mechanism determines an authority score of the given source for the input question. The mechanism presents the set of answers to the user interface based on the authority score for the given source.

    Abstract: A request is received by a first computer. The first computer delegates the first request to a second computer. The second computer attempts to process the first request and identifies an imminent fault as a result of the attempt. The second computer sends a message to the first computer indicating an imminent fault as a result of the attempted processing of the first request. The first computer sends a message to a third computer indicating that a second request matching the first request should not be processed.
