  • Patent number: 8662373
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for welding the end faces of thin-walled jackets (12) on a welding plane, said device comprising two cylindrical positioning receiving units (1), which center the jackets (12) to be welded in relation to their outer diameters, both receiving units (1) being located on an alignment base flush with one another and being axially displaceable. A deformable, annular, membrane-type heat exchanger is situated on the exterior of each receiving unit (1), said heat exchanger being formed from a set of sheets (2) consisting of heat-resistant material that are separated from one another. The lower end of the sheets is designed to be in thermal contact with the jacket (12).

  • Patent number: 8621733
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for preparing the end faces of thin-walled jackets for welding, comprising a housing (1), on which an annular separator (2) is mounted, said separator containing at least two groups of elongated deformation elements (4, 6). The longitudinal axes of the deformation elements (4) of a first group are aligned radially in relation to the central axis of the separator (2) and the longitudinal axes of the deformation elements (6) of a second group are aligned at an acute angle (?) in relation to a radial through the central axis of the separator (2).

  • Patent number: 8550286
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to increase the strength and reliability of a high-pressure container. To achieve this, the high-pressure container comprises a thin-walled, closed, sealed, metal cylindrical liner (1) with at least one neck and at least one outer reinforcement jacket (2) consisting of a composite material that is formed from at least one group of layers of high modulus fiber of a reinforcement material, said fibers being aligned spirally and in an annular direction in relation to the cylindrical liner (1) and having previously determined linear arrangement densities. One layer of fibers of the spiral reinforcement (4) is positioned above a layer of fibers of the annular reinforcement (3).

  • Patent number: 8540110
Abstract: The invention relates to a high-pressure container comprising a thin-walled, cylindrical metal liner (1) having bases (8) on the end sections and an outer stable jacket (2) that surrounds the liner (1). At least one of the bases (8) of the liner (1) has a slight convex curvature towards the interior of the liner (1). A pressure converter (4) is situated between the outer surface of the convex base (8) and the inner surface of a base part of the stable jacket (2), said converter being constructed from a rigid profiled base on the side facing the base part of the rigid jacket (2) and a deformable cushion (6) of viscoelastic material on the side facing the convex base (8).

  • Patent number: 8245903
Abstract: Two thin-walled jackets a joined by preparing end faces of the jackets by plastically deforming and upsetting microprojections thereon and thereby forming the metal of the upset microprojections into annular beads on inner surfaces of the respective jackets. Then the end faces are abutted while centering the jackets on each other relative to their external diameters. The end faces are then spot welded together in a plane where the end faces abut and then joined with a continuous main weld having a width equal to between four and six times the thickness of the wall of the jackets. Heat is then extracted from the welded jackets starting at a distance not exceeding times the wall thickness from a joint center line where the end faces abut.

  • Publication number: 20110266333
Abstract: The method for connecting thin-walled casings by fusion welding comprises the following: preparation of the end faces to be connected of the casings, abutting arrangement on centring devices and common melting of the end faces to be connected while an arrangement gap sufficient for carrying out the welding is temporarily maintained between the surfaces lying against one another of the end faces. On each of the casings to be connected, deforming of the micro-projections on the surface to be welded of the end faces is carried out by plastic deformation along with upsetting of the material. On the end face, the metal to be deformed is moved to the side of the inner surface of the casing and an inner, annular bead strip is formed thereupon. The casings to be connected are arranged in a device that carries out centring with respect to the outer diameter. Then, initially at the circumference in the plane of the connection, spot welding thereof is carried out.
