  • Patent number: 10085206
Abstract: Methods and systems for optimization of cell selection in TD-SCDMA networks are disclosed. In an embodiment, the method includes detecting, by at least one processor, interference in a current serving cell employing a primary frequency and at least one secondary frequency used by a UE from at least one neighboring cell, wherein the interference is detected in the at least one secondary frequency of the current serving cell; including, by the at least one processor, the current serving cell in a defective cell list, wherein a signal strength associated with the primary frequency of the serving cell is greater than a signal strength associated with a neighboring primary frequency of the at least one neighboring cell; and excluding, by the at least one processor, each cell in the defective cell list from being selected as a new serving cell for the UE.
