  • Publication number: 20240140253
Abstract: A system including one or more processors is provided. The one or more processors can determine, responsive to an arrival of an electric vehicle at a dispenser of a plurality of dispensers coupled with a power module of a power cabinet, a status of each of the plurality of dispensers. The one or more processors can generate a schedule to control the plurality of dispensers based at least in part on the status of each of the plurality of dispensers. The one or more processors can provide the schedule to the power cabinet to cause the power cabinet to control the power module to deliver power to one of the plurality of dispensers in accordance with the schedule.

  • Patent number: 11962579
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for vehicle charging. A charging system can include a component to convey power to a vehicle to charge the vehicle. The charging system can include a module to store a certificate via a cryptographic technique. The charging system can include a data processing system coupled to the module, the data processing system including one or more processors, coupled with memory, to retrieve the certificate from the module, transmit, to a second data processing system, a request to establish a communication connection, the request including the certificate, and establish the communication connection with the second data processing system responsive to a verification of the certificate by the second data processing system. The data processing system can transmit, to the second data processing system, data corresponding to power conveyed by the component to the vehicle subsequent to verification of the certificate.

  • Publication number: 20240083289
Abstract: A vehicle charger may be connected to a vehicle by a charging cable, and the charger may determine a mode of communication based on a control signal received from the vehicle over the charging cable, determine payment information based on the mode of communication, and charge the vehicle using the charging cable based on the payment information.

  • Publication number: 20240020947
Abstract: A vehicle charging system and method, including: a charging station configured to selectively deliver charging power to a vehicle in an intelligent manner when connected; a perception sensor coupled to the charging station configured to obtain an image of the vehicle when present in proximity to the charging station; and memory storing instructions executed by a processor to identify the vehicle from the image of the vehicle using an artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithm, including, for example, identifying one or more of a make/model of the vehicle using a trained image recognition algorithm and a license plate number of the vehicle using a trained text recognition algorithm from the image of the vehicle. The vehicle charging system and method also control a charging parameter based on the determined identity of the vehicle, where the charging parameter includes, for example, a charging time, a charging power, a charging rule, a billing rate, and a charger provisioning scheme.

  • Publication number: 20220097543
Abstract: A control system for a charging control network may include a primary server system that applies a control process to an Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (“EVSE”), a secondary server system that applies a monitoring process to the EVSE, and a mediator system that maintains a virtualized connection there-between. The mediator system may: in response to receiving a first request from the EVSE, selectively route the first request to one or more server systems based on predetermined rules; in response to receiving at least one first reply, selectively route only one of the at least one first reply to the EVSE; in response to receiving a second request from one of the server systems directed toward the EVSE, route the second request to the EVSE; and, in response to receiving a second reply to the second request, route the second reply to the server system that transmitted the second request.
