    Abstract: Systems and methods for designing additively manufactured objects are provided. In some embodiments, a method includes receiving a treatment plan for a patient's teeth, and determining a set of appliance parameters for a dental appliance configured to implement the treatment plan. The method can also include determining a set of manufacturing parameters for a fabrication system to be used to additively manufacture the dental appliance. The method can further include generating a 3D digital representation of an appliance geometry for the dental appliance. The appliance geometry can be configured to mitigate loss of fidelity at a target region of the dental appliance due to at least one manufacturing parameter of the fabrication system.

In some embodiments, a method includes: receiving a digital representation of a plurality of objects; forming a first portion of each object of the plurality of objects based on the digital representation, using an additive manufacturing process; obtaining sensor data of the first portion of each object; determining whether an error is present in the first portion of an object of the plurality of objects, based on the sensor data; in response to a determination that the error is present in the first portion of the object, modifying the digital representation to remove the object having the error; and forming a second portion of each remaining object of the plurality of objects based on the modified digital representation, using the additive manufacturing process.

The system can be configured to form an object portion from the curable material using the printer assembly. The system can be configured to generate sensor data of the object portion using the at least one sensor, and determine whether an error is present in the object portion based on the sensor data. In response to a determination that the error is present in the object portion, the system can be configured to remove a region of the object portion containing the error using the material removal device.

The method may include generating a digital model of an aligner having mandibular relocation structures.
