  • Patent number: 11783607
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described including receiving, via a computer processor, at least one image of a portion of a subject's body. One or more features that are present within the image of the portion of the subject's body, and that were artificially added to the image subsequent to acquisition of the image, are identified. In response thereto, an output is generated on an output device.

  • Patent number: 11676272
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described including, using a computer processor, automatically identifying whether a given pixel within an image corresponds to a portion of an object. A set of concentric circles that are disposed around the pixel are sampled, and a first function is applied to each of the circles such that the circles are defined by a first set of rotationally invariant descriptors. A second function is applied to the set of circles to generate a second set of descriptors, each of which represents a difference between respective pairs of the circles. A third function is applied such that the second set of descriptors becomes rotationally invariant. The processor identifies whether the given pixel corresponds to the portion of the object, based upon the first and second sets of rotationally invariant descriptors. Other applications are also described.

  • Publication number: 20230112722
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are provided for automatically adjusting the scale or magnification of an intraluminal image on a display of an intraluminal imaging system based on a measured or computed size of the vessel. For example, a system may include a processor configured to receive, from an intraluminal imaging catheter or guidewire, a first intraluminal image of a body lumen, and compute a dimension of an anatomical feature of the body lumen based on the first intraluminal image. The processor computes a scaling factor for the first intraluminal image based on the dimension of the body lumen, scales the first intraluminal image by the scaling factor, and outputs the scaled first intraluminal image to a display in communication with the processor circuit.

  • Patent number: 10916009
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described including, using a computer processor (28), automatically identifying whether a given pixel (111) within an image corresponds to a portion of an object. • Publication number: 20210022714
Abstract: Ultrasound image devices, systems, and methods are provided. An ultrasound imaging system, comprising an intraluminal imaging device configured to be positioned within a body lumen of a patient, the intraluminal imaging device comprising a rotatable, flexible elongate drive cable; and an ultrasound transducer disposed at a distal portion of the drive cable, the ultrasound transducer configured to transmit ultrasound energy into the body lumen and to receive ultrasound echoes associated with the body lumen; and a processor circuit in communication with the intraluminal imaging device and configured to receive, from the ultrasound transducer, signal data corresponding to the received ultrasound echoes; normalize the signal data; remove a low frequency signal component from the normalized signal data; determine a displacement for one or more scanlines of the signal data after removing the low frequency signal component; and generate an image of the body lumen based on the displacement.

  • Publication number: 20170032523
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described for use with an image of at least one blood vessel (50) of a subject including, using at least one computer processor (28), determining a presence of a device (55) within at least a portion of the blood vessel within the image. The computer processor determines a classification of the device as a given type of device, and, based upon the classification of the device as the given type of device, designates a parameter to be calculated. The computer processor automatically calculates the designated parameter, and generates an output on an output device (40) in response to the calculated parameter. Other applications are also described.
