  • Patent number: 9906652
Abstract: In accordance with certain embodiments, disclosed herein is a method for shifting charges. The method includes receiving a request for a communication session between at least two endpoints. The request comprises a charging preference that indicates a request for a shift in at least a portion of the charges associated with the communication session. The method further includes transmitting a message to a charging system indicative of the request for the shift in charges based on the charging preference. The method additionally includes determining whether to establish the communication session between the at least two endpoints or to reject the communication session between the at least two endpoints. The method also includes, based on the determination, facilitating in the establishment of the communication session or the rejection of the communication session.

  • Patent number: 9232521
Abstract: A method of enabling configuration of a link between a circuit-switched Private Branch Exchange (CS PBX), and an access gateway node that connects at least one CS PBX to an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). The method is performed at an IMS application server, AS. The AS is configured with timeslot configuration information for each link between the access gateway node and the at least one CS PBX. The AS receives, from the access gateway node, a request for timeslot configuration information for one or more of the links, and identifies the one or more links to which the request relates. The AS then retrieves the timeslot configuration information for the identified link, and sends a response indicating this information to the access gateway node.

  • Publication number: 20150063345
Abstract: According to an aspect of the present invention there is provided a method of providing support for multiple links between a Private Branch Exchange (PBX) and an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). The method comprises, at an IMS Application Server (AS), configuring the AS with capacity information relating to each of the multiple links, receiving SIP call control messages relating to calls involving the PBX and thereby maintaining usage information for each of the multiple links, the usage information indicating which of the multiple links is being used for each ongoing call involving the PBX. The method further comprises using the capacity information and the usage information relating to each of the multiple links to select one of the multiple links to carry an incoming call terminating at the PBX, and modifying SIP call control messages relating to the incoming call to ensure that the incoming call is carried by the selected link.

  • Patent number: 8843546
Abstract: Methods and arrangements for enabling execution of a communication service adapted to a client by an application server. One or more iFC:s are configured in a central subscriber data node for the client by including information related to user specific service data of the client in the iFC:s. When receiving a request related to the client, a session control node fetches the iFC:s of the client from the subscriber data node if the client is not registered. The service data related information is then extracted from an iFC of the client that matches the received request, which is forwarded to the application server with extracted service data related information attached. The application server creates user specific service data for the client based on service data related information in the request, and serve the client accordingly. No regular provisioning operation and interface towards a provisioning system are required for the application server.
