Abstract: A method and system for stitching together a first image and a second image of a retail environment are provided. The position of an electronic label is detected in a first and a second set of reference images based on changes of optical output of the electronic label. The position of the electronic label in a first and a second image to be stitched together is then determined based on the determined position of the electronic label in the reference images.

Abstract: A method is applied in a positioning Electronic Shelf Label, ESL, system, wherein each ESL of a set of ESLs is being associated with a target position datum, and wherein each item positioned in a sales area is associated with an ESL. The method includes receiving checklist data indicating at least one sales area item; updating a current set of target position data; receiving a user terminal position datum; monitoring the user terminal position datum; and if a set of triggering criteria is met triggering an alert. Checklist data may be derived from a user terminal GUI, and be received in the user terminal, or be received in the ESL control unit from the user terminal or from another available system interface. Further, a system, a user terminal, an ESL, a computer program and a computer program product is provided. Embodiments enable improved increased efficiency for customers or in-store staff.

Abstract: Products are arranged at positions along a fixture. Electronic labels associated with the products are arranged such that a product position for a product is obtainable once a position of the label is known. A camera is arranged to capture images of the fixture. A method includes controlling a label to change optical output; receiving an image containing the label and captured after the change of optical output has been initiated; detecting a position of the label in the image based on a characteristic associated with the change; and determining a position for the product associated with the label in an image. The determined position may be employed to determine when to restock a product. Further, a method for determining positions of labels in images is provided, as well a corresponding system and computer program product. The labels are controlled to include changing temporal patterns.

The electronic shelf label includes: a casing; an information display area; a printed circuit board; fastening structure for fastening the electronic shelf label on a shelf; and a recess extending from the side surface of the casing. The recess includes attaching structure for attaching external information display devices to the electronic shelf label. An information display device for use in combination with the electronic shelf label is further provided.

The system comprising displaying means in the electronic sign configured to present a code on the electronic sign, where the code is associated with the electronic sign. Reading means in a mobile terminal is configured to read the code and download user interaction content to the mobile terminal using the code. Feedback means in the mobile terminal is configured to receive a feedback from the customer and transmit the feedback to the server, the feedback being related to the user interaction content and the product, the product group, the product category, the brand, the store or the information.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a method in a system that makes it possible for a service provider to provide product related information services to a mobile terminal in a store. The system comprises reading means in the mobile terminal configured to read a unique tag identity from an identity tag in an electronic shelf label, wherein the unique tag identity is different from a product id. Transmitting means in the mobile terminal is configured to transmit the unique tag identity from the mobile terminal to a tag identity server. Finding means in the tag identity server is configured to find in the tag identity server a meta data associated with the unique tag identity. In the tag identity server transmitting means is configured to transmit the meta data from the tag identity server to the mobile terminal. Displaying means in the mobile terminal configured to display the product related information services using the meta data.
