  • Publication number: 20240319786
Abstract: A human-machine interface (HMI) in a textile for displaying tactile information and/or for detecting a human input. The human-machine interface (HMI) comprises a textile interface element, a control system, and a fluidic connection. The textile interface element comprises at least one chamber, wherein the at least one chamber is arranged between at least one of a top layer and a base layer. The textile interface element is in at least one of a deactivated state, a first activated state, or a second activated state. The control system comprises at least one of electronic elements, a driver module, and a control software. The fluidic connection is fluidly connected to the at least one chamber and the control system, wherein the fluidic connection is used for pumping a fluid into the at least one chamber or removing the fluid from the at least one chamber.

  • Publication number: 20240156664
Abstract: A wearable exoskin (100), which generates energy by an external force of a user applied to the exoskin (100) and utilizes that a energy to support the movement of the user, comprises at least one fluid circuit (30), at least one interface (10) which is fluidly connected to the at least one fluid circuit (30) and at least one actuator (20) which is fluidly connected to the at least one fluid circuit (30). The at least one fluid circuit (30) comprises a displaceable fluid (40). The fluid actuator (20) is changeable in volume and switches from a first state (with a first volume) to a second state (with a second volume), which is different from the first state, in reaction to the flow of the displaceable fluid (40). The displacement of the fluid (40) is caused by an interaction of the user with the at least one interface (10), such as the application of an external force. The exoskin (100) can be used in a compression garment, such as used on a lower limb.

  • Publication number: 20130140506
Abstract: A composition is provided comprising a host material and a luminescent dopant. The composition exhibits dual luminescent emission peaks, one each for the host material and the luminescent dopant. The intensity of the emission peaks vary in intensity as a result of the changing temperature of the composition. This quality enables the composition to be used for ratiometric optical thermometry, including exemplary applications, such as in situ temperature sensing.
