  • Publication number: 20240094750
Abstract: A counter pressure valve arrangement for controlling a pressure level of a hydraulic fluid in a return line from a hydraulic actuator arrangement. The counter pressure valve arrangement comprises a counter pressure valve having: a moveable valve member; a counter pressure regulating port configured for being connected to the hydraulic actuator arrangement via the return line; a tank port configured for being connected to a tank or low pressure reservoir for storing low pressure hydraulic fluid; and a pump port configured for being connected to a source of pressurised hydraulic fluid. A first position of the valve member effects fluid communication between the pump port and the counter pressure regulating port for supplying pressurised hydraulic fluid to the return line (4), and a second position of the valve member effects fluid communication between the counter pressure regulating port and the tank port for discharging hydraulic fluid from the return line to the tank.

  • Patent number: 8971308
Abstract: A method of controlling call admission within a system comprising a plurality of media gateways (8, 9) interconnected by a packet switched backbone (5). The method comprises, at least one media gateway (8, 9), monitoring the level of congestion suffered by incoming packets to that gateway from each other media gateway over said backbone. Following receipt of a request for a media gateway (8, 9) to terminate a bearer extending over said backbone (5) from a peer media gateway, making a decision on the admissibility of that request based upon the previously monitored level of congestion suffered by incoming packets from that peer media gateway.

  • Publication number: 20100014456
Abstract: A method and apparatus in a gateway node of a telecommunications network for receiving frames from a source node such as a Radio Network Controller (RNC) and forwarding the frames with correct sequencing and timing to a destination node in an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network. Upon determining that a potential or actual discontinuity in frame numbering has occurred, the apparatus sends a discontinuity indication toward the destination node. The indication may be included in the first frame subsequent to the discontinuity. The destination node is thus made aware that the frame numbering may not be reliable.

  • Patent number: 7450565
Abstract: A method of setting up a call between first and second nodes of a communication system when the call extends across a circuit switched access network and a packet switched backbone network interconnected by a Media Gateway. A control node obtains from a Home Subscriber Server, the identity of a Media Gateway Control Function controlling that Media Gateway which will terminate the call within the circuit switched access network. The first node calls an access number notified to it by the Media Gateway Control Function, and as part of the call setup procedure, the identity of the Media Gateway selected to terminate the call is communicated to the second node.

  • Publication number: 20070053343
Abstract: A method of setting up a call between first and second nodes of a communication system, said call extending across at least one circuit switched access network and a packet switched backbone network, the networks being interconnected by at least one Media Gateway. The method comprises, at a control node, obtaining ftoin a Home Subscriber Server the identity of a Media Gateway Control Function controlling that Media Gateway which will terminate the call within the circuit switched access network. The first node calls an access number notified to it by the Media Gateway Control Function, and as part of the call set-up procedure the identity of the Media Gateway selected to terminate the call is communicated to the Media Gateway Control Function.

  • Patent number: 6663744
Abstract: Method and device for heat treatment of a disc, whereby the disc (1) is placed on a carrier (14) after which the disc is irradiated. During the radiation the carrier is kept on a desired temperature. The desired temperature of the carrier is about the temperature of the disc prior to placement on the carrier. The disc comprises two disc elements and an adhesive layer between the disc elements, whereby the adhesive layer is cured by the irradiation with ultraviolet light.
