    Abstract: A method and apparatus for launching and hauling in objects such as life-boats, pick-up boats, small submarines and people from the sea, which includes a floating dock suspended from a yoke connected to a jib attached to a floating vessel, the yoke being capable of substantially following the swell movements of the sea. A substantially constant spacing is maintained between the floating dock and the vessel while the dock is floating in the sea.
