Publication number: 20140159231Abstract: A semiconductor assembly that may enhance dissipation of heat. The assembly includes a first die of a first material and defining a first passage. A second material, such as silicon carbide, diamond, or carbon nanotube, having a higher heat conductivity than the first material is disposed in the center of the first passage. An electronic component, which may be, for example, another die or a printed wiring board, is adjacent to the first die, is predominantly of a third material, and defines a first opening. A fourth material having a higher heat conductivity than the third material is disposed in the center of the first opening. The first opening is in alignment with the first passage, and may provide for heat transfer with a chimney effect between the materials of relatively high heat conductivity. A mold including a high heat conductivity material may also be provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 4, 2011Publication date: June 12, 2014Applicant: SONY MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS ABInventor: Nils Magnus Lundberg

Patent number: 8477899Abstract: A method of operating a nuclear reactor is disclosed. The reactor (1) encloses a core having a plurality of fuel rods (9). Each fuel rod (9) includes a cladding and fuel pellets of a nuclear fuel. The fuel pellets are arranged in an inner space of the cladding leaving a free volume comprising an upper plenum, a lower plenum and a pellet-cladding gap. The reactor is operated at a normal power and a normal inlet sub-cooling during a normal state. The reactor is monitored for detecting a defect on the cladding of any of the fuel rods. The operation of the reactor is changed to a particular state after detecting such a defect. The particular state permits an increase of the free volume in the defect fuel rod. The reactor is operated at the particular state during a limited time period, after which the reactor is operated at the normal state.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2008Date of Patent: July 2, 2013Assignee: Westinghouse Electric Sweden ABInventors: Sture Lennart Helmersson, Nils Magnus Limback, Jonathan Michael Wright

Publication number: 20130113247Abstract: The invention relates to an adjustment device for motor vehicle seats, in particular a height adjustment device, comprising a length-adjustable control unit which is suitable for adjusting and supporting a seat structure with respect to a seat base assembly and which can be articulated at one end to the seat structure and at the other end to the seat base assembly. In order to provide an adjustment device and a motor vehicle seat comprising an adjustment device, in which a bending direction of the adjustment device is predetermined in the event of a crash, the control unit is designed at least one of at one end and at both ends to be a pivotable and, in the event of a crash, slidable mounting with respect to at least one of the seat structure and the seat base assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2011Publication date: May 9, 2013Inventors: Nils Magnus, Markus Gumbrich
