  • Patent number: 5570422
Abstract: A telephone network interface device utilizing network termination modules for interconnecting telephone company wiring to the wiring of respective subscribers incorporates an improved organization of elements to reduce the cost of such elements; to facilitate their use; and to improve the flexibility and compactness of the organization. The device incorporates an improved hinge arrangement for use with the internal security closure that permits ready removal of the closure to facilitate servicing the installed equipment. A novel ground bus organization comprising an assemblage of bus sections of uniform length arranged to accommodate the length of stack of network termination modules housed in the device reduces the variety of ground buses required to accommodate module stacks of various size.

  • Patent number: 4866575
Abstract: The present invention involves a one-sided modular distributing frame assembly for distributing telephone circuits and particularly adapted for wall mounting. It includes a terminal block bay member which is a generally vertical hollow member with forward and rear surfaces. The forward surface has a plurality of alternating terminal blocks and interstices. Each terminal block communicates with the rear surface and provides appearances for subscriber or office cables. The rear surface is adapted for mounting adjacent a supporting surface. The frame also includes an outside plant bay member which is a generally vertical hollow member with forward and rear surfaces. The forward surface mounts a plurality of connector blocks which provide termination for subscriber cables. The rear surface is adapted for mounting adjacent a supporting surface.

  • Patent number: 4737880
Abstract: A station protector for communication lines includes a line terminal formed for electrical connection to the communication lines and affixed to a base member of electrical insulator material. The base member has a well into which an arrester cartridge can be threaded. There is a grounding element affixed to the base member, the grounding element including an extending grounding member located outside the area of the well. A spring electrically connects the line terminal to a surge voltage arrester if an arrester cartridge is properly positioned in the well, and grounds the line terminal in the absence of the arrester cartridge or any part thereof.

  • Patent number: 4694488
Abstract: The present invention involves a modular distributing frame assembly for distributing telephone circuits. It includes a central office bay member which has a generally vertical hollow member with forward and rear surfaces. The forward surface has a plurality of alternating terminal blocks and interstices. Each terminal block communicates with the rear surface and provides appearances for office cables. The rear surface defines a vertical opening adapted to receive the office cables. The frame also includes an outside plant bay member with a generally vertical hollow member with forward and rear surfaces. The forward surface has a plurality of alternate terminal blocks and interstices. Each of the terminal blocks provides appearances for subscriber cables. The rear surface defines a vertical opening with a plurality of connector blocks mounted therein.
