  • Publication number: 20260170688
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining at least one camera parameter for calibrating a camera, in particular a traffic monitoring camera, having the steps of: providing one or more images (200) of the surroundings, said images being captured by mean of the camera, determining coordinates of at least two respective corner points (231-234) on an image plane (y?, z?) for a 3D bounding box (230) of one or all of a plurality of objects (220, 250, 252), in particular vehicles, in the one or more images (200); and determining the at least one camera parameter on the basis of at least one distance (241-243) on the image plane, said distance being defined by the coordinates of the at least two corner points (231-234) of the respective 3D bounding box (230), and at least one corresponding specified distance in a surroundings coordinate system; and providing the at least one camera parameter.

  • Patent number: 12620234
Abstract: In a method (30) for obtaining information (18a, b) about a potential object (8a, b) in a camera image (10) of a scene (2), A) the camera image (10) is provided as a single 2D camera image, B) potential objects (8a, b) are detected in the camera image (10), C) a frame projection (14a, b) of a 3D frame (16) directly surrounding the object (8a, b) into the camera image (10) is determined for at least one of the detected objects (8a, b) as at least part of the information (18a, b), wherein steps B) and C) are each performed with the aid of a neural network (32).

  • Publication number: 20250378756
Abstract: An image processing method for determining a travel speed of a vehicle. A monitoring scene with at least one vehicle is arranged in the monitoring region, where at least a first image of the monitoring scene is detected. A first time stamp is assigned to the first image, and a second image of the monitoring scene is detected, a second time stamp is assigned to the second image, and a first polyhedron is derived from the first image and a second polyhedron is derived from the second image. The first and the second polyhedron each represent the vehicle. Vehicle size information is determined for the first polyhedron and/or for the second polyhedron, A distance travelled by the vehicle in the monitoring region is established based on the vehicle size information and the polyhedrons, and the vehicle speed is established based on the distance and the time stamp.
