  • Publication number: 20120099788
Abstract: A method for selecting a color palette includes receiving a feature from an image of an object and a reference color chart, calculating a transform to correct a color in the imaged reference color chart, correcting a color in the feature using the transform, and selecting a color palette based on the corrected feature color. The reference color chart includes reference colors, and the transform corrects the color in the imaged reference color chart to substantially equal a corresponding reference color. An apparatus for selecting a color palette is also described.

  • Publication number: 20110145249
Abstract: A method of grouping a plurality of media content is provided. The method includes converting at least a portion of the media content into at least one document object model (“DOM”) using a processor. The DOM can include a plurality of block elements, each comprising at least one content object. The method includes apportioning the content objects into a relevant portion and an irrelevant portion and extracting a set of keywords, the set comprising at least one keyword, within the relevant portion of the content objects. The method includes apportioning the relevant portion of the content objects into a related portion and an unrelated portion using at least a portion of the set of keywords and grouping the related portion of the content to provide a group of related content.

  • Patent number: 7634575
Abstract: A method for clustering data streams. Specifically, one embodiment of the present invention discloses a method for clustering data streams for use in a virtual environment. The embodiment of the method begins by determining a cluster of receiving nodes in the virtual environment. Each of the cluster of receiving nodes have associated values for at least one clustering parameter that as a set satisfies a test. Then, the embodiment continues by generating a common data stream based on the clustering parameter. Thereafter, the embodiment sends the common data stream from a sending node to the cluster of receiving nodes.

  • Patent number: 7522769
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention recite a computer implemented method and system for estimating skin color from an image. In embodiments of the present invention, an image of a subject and of an imaged reference color set is accessed. In embodiments of the present invention, a controlled infrastructure is not required when capturing the image. At least one skin pixel of the subject is located in the image and a color description of the at least one skin pixel is determined. Then, a color correction function to be applied to the color description of the at least one skin pixel is determined. The color correction function is applied to the color description of the at least one skin pixel to create a modified color description. Finally, the skin color of the subject is estimated based upon an analysis of the modified color description.

  • Patent number: 7480259
Abstract: Methods and systems for utilizing a parallel conversational thread during a remote collaboration are described. In one embodiment, a managing entity is utilized to establish a first communications path for a remote collaboration of at least two parties. Then, a request for a parallel conversation is received from at least one of the at least two parties during the remote collaboration. The managing entity then establishes a second communications path for the parallel conversation between the at least two parties. Wherein, the enabling of the parallel conversation on the second communications path is performed without inhibiting the first communications path, such that a portion of a first party can have a parallel conversation with a portion of a second party on the second communications path while the first communications path for the remote collaboration remains active.

  • Publication number: 20060136927
Abstract: Methods and systems thereof for monitoring a streaming media server are described. Calibration data for the server is used to identify a server resource that reaches its respective limit before other server resources reach their respective limits as loads on the server are increased. The calibration data characterizes usage of the server's resources under a plurality of different loads including a saturation load. The saturation load causes the server to fail to satisfy a predefined quality-of-service criterion. The server resource is monitored to determine whether the server is approaching the saturation load with the server in service in a content delivery network.
