    Abstract: The present disclosure concerns a fall arrest strap assembly that can reduce the risk of suspension trauma in a user of a fall-arrest body harness, and in particular, a fall arrest strap assembly that supports the user in a seated position with the knees elevated to at least hip level in the event of a fall from an elevated structure. The device deploys passively, so it is effective even when the user is injured or unconscious.
