By blocking transmission of holes or electrons in the sub-pixel unit corresponding to the bright dot, it is possible to block a flow of current towards an organic functional layer in the sub-pixel unit corresponding to the bright dot such that the sub-pixel unit will not emit light, thus converting the bright dot into a dark dot.
