    Abstract: This invention is directed to managing data storage in a memory system. The memory system receives a host request for an erase operation on a first erasable unit of a first memory block. In response to the host request, the memory system identifies an unused erasable unit of a second memory block in the memory system, remaps the first erasable unit of the first memory block to the unused erasable unit of the second memory block, and applies the erase operation on the unused erasable unit of the second memory block in place of the first erasable unit of the first memory block. In some embodiments, at a time of receiving the host request, the memory system further includes a space reserve of over-provisioning, and the second memory block is different from the space reserve. In some embodiments, the second memory block is moved offline to join the space reserve.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for experimentally determining a critical sand-carrying gas velocity of a shale gas well. The method includes: collecting well structure and production data, calculating parameter ranges of a gas flow velocity and a liquid flow velocity; carrying out a physical simulation experiment of sand carrying in the shale gas well to obtain the sand holding capacity of the wellbore under different experimental conditions, and calculating a sand holding rate; by observing a change curve of the sand holding rate of the wellbore vs. the gas flow velocity, defining a turning point, and sensitively analyzing the influence of other experimental variables on the turning point, to calculate the critical sand-carrying production of the shale gas well under different conditions. Therefore, this calculation method is simple and applicable, and provides a theoretical basis for the optimization design of water drainage and gas production process.

    Abstract: A hydrogenation method for an aromatic polymer includes the step of: bringing an aromatic polymer into contact with a hydrogenation reagent in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst so as to hydrogenate at least some aromatic rings in the aromatic polymer. The hydrogenation catalyst contains a carrier and a platinum element, a group IVA element and a rare earth metal element loaded on the carrier, and the carrier is alumina. Hydrogenated block copolymers, hydrogenated five-block copolymers and hydrogenated seven-block copolymers can be produced using the hydrogenation method, which hydrogenates the aromatic ring in the aromatic polymer to obtain a higher aromatic ring hydrogenation degree. The hydrogenated block copolymers have a high hydrogenation degree, high light transmittance, low haze, and excellent impact toughness.

Techniques are provided for a method implemented by a computer, e.g., a computer onboard an autonomous vehicle. A planning circuit onboard the vehicle and connected to an EPS of the vehicle determines a compensatory torque signal to modify an actual steering angle of a steering wheel of the vehicle to match an expected steering angle of the steering wheel. The planning circuit transmits the compensatory torque signal to a control circuit that controls the steering angle of the steering wheel. The EPS modifies the actual steering angle based on the compensatory torque signal resulting in a modified steering angle. The control circuit operates the vehicle based on the modified steering angle.
