Publication number: 20220391231Abstract: An integrated approach is provided to running web applications with various compatibilities that do not require third-party extensions or sacrifice user experience. When a page of an application incompatible with a first browser is to be executed, an instance of a second browser with which the page is compatible is separately invoked and/or executed without opening a window for that second browser. Instead, the second browser opens a page within the window of the first browser. Moreover, rendering and/or contextual information for a page opened via the second browser is provided to the first browser. Such information is utilized by the first browser to provide a visual experience to the user in which the web page is being hosted by the first browser, even though it is in fact being hosted by the second browser.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2022Publication date: December 8, 2022Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Adrian Bogdan Guta, Joshua P.H. Publication number: 20170251968Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and system for detecting visual attention. Embodiments of the present disclosure collect time sequences and corresponding pupil diameter sequences of each point of regard during visual attention process. Attention change curve is plotted according to the corresponding relationship between time sequences and pupil diameter sequences. The attention change curve is divided into four stages based on pre-setting time parameters and pupil diameter parameters. Numerical analysis of each stage is finished based on duration and rate of pupil change. Quantitative calculation of visual attention of each stage is realized, and the changing procedure of visual attention can be portrayed entirely, systematically and quantitatively.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 5, 2015Publication date: September 7, 2017Inventors: Mi Li, Shengfu Lu, Jing Wang, Ning Zhong

Patent number: 9532711Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods for measuring affective bandwidth of a subject (e.g., a human) and determining depression determination of the subject. The affective bandwidth measurement may include the following operations. For example, the subject may watch positive neutral and negative pictures for 8-10 seconds, respectively. Information for all fixation points may be obtained using an eye movement tracking device. Pupil diameter sizes of the subject while watching the positive, neutral and negative picture tasks may be calculated, and the affective bandwidth may be calculated. The affective bandwidth may include positive affective bandwidth (positive-neutral), negative affective bandwidth (negative-neutral) and positive-negative affective bandwidth (positive-negative) of the subject.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 2015Date of Patent: January 3, 2017Assignee: Beijing University of TechnologyInventors: Mi Li, Shengfu Lv, Gang Wang, Ning Zhong
