Abstract: A system for applying one or more rollers to the hair of a person, the system including an applicator handle and rollers. Each roller includes a barrel with an outer cylindrical surface and a clamp pivotable to a closed position adjacent to the barrel surface. When the roller is installed on the applicator handle, the clamp is automatically pivoted away from the barrel and the roller is rotated by a motor built into the handle to allow the roller to wind several hair strands. When the roller is removed from the applicator handle, the clamp returns to the closed position and grasps the hair strands until it is released or opened manually.

Abstract: To solve problems in a conventional electric can opening apparatus wherein it is impractical to drain the unwanted liquid from the inside of the can after opening the container and disposing of the top lid or top without touching it. The composite can opener includes a body with a gripping member gripping a can while an opening member cuts the top of the can open and a piston that selectively pushes the top into and out of the can after it has been cut.

Abstract: Described herein is a crib and locking mechanism for a crib. Preferably, a pair of mechanisms is located on the left and the right side of the top horizontal member of the front guard rail, and another pair is on the rear guard rail, with the pairs being positioned on either the outside of the guard rail(s) or on the inside of the guard rail(s). Each mechanism preferably includes a bar that can be slid back (“lock”) and forth (“release”). One end of the bar has a notch that covers a complimentary section within the crib frame to keep the rail from sliding down. There is a slit on the inside of the horizontal member through which a protruding knob is exposed. Moving the knob slides the bar back and forth. In order to lower the rail, the rail must be slightly lifted to disengage the notch from its complimentary part and the knob of both mechanisms must be simultaneously moved to the “release” position. Additionally, the rail can be completely removed from the crib.
