  • Publication number: 20190046016
Abstract: Endoscope assemblies, biopsy caps, and methods for making and using the same. An example endoscope assembly may include an endoscope having a channel formed therein and a port that provides access to the channel. A cap may be coupled to the port. The cap may include a base having a securing member for securing the cap to the port, an outer shell and a brush section disposed within the interior volume adjacent the disk shutter section, the brush section including a plurality of brushes arranged in a helical fashion.

  • Publication number: 20180140300
Abstract: A system for treating tissue includes a clip assembly including clip arms movable relative to a channel of a capsule so that the clip arms are movable between a tissue receiving configuration and a tissue clipping configuration. Also, the system includes an applicator releasably coupleable to the clip assembly. The applicator includes a bushing and a control member extending therethrough. The bushing includes deflectable fingers, each of the fingers including an engaging feature at a distal end thereof to engage a corresponding engaging feature of the capsule of the clip assembly and assembled with a pusher element configured to push the fingers to a radially outward position. The pusher element includes a U-shaped portion curving into a channel of the bushing and a longitudinal portion extending distally therefrom. A cam washer is slidable over a length of the control member and positioned distally of the U-shaped portion.

  • Publication number: 20180078258
Abstract: A system for treating tissue includes a clip assembly including a pair of clip arms, a proximal end of the clip arms connected to a yoke, the clip assembly movable between a biased tissue receiving configuration and a tissue gripping configuration, the clip arms including a locking mechanism for locking the clip arms in the tissue gripping configuration, and an applicator including a sleeve and a control member extending therethrough, the sleeve extending from a proximal end to a distal end and including a lumen extending therethrough, the control member extending from a proximal end to a distal end configured to be releasably coupled to the yoke to move the clip assembly between the tissue receiving configuration and the tissue gripping configuration, the clip arms being constrained toward the tissue gripping configuration via a surface of the lumen when the clip arms are drawn proximally thereinto.

  • Publication number: 20180078262
Abstract: A system for treating tissue includes an applicator including a catheter and a control member extending therethrough, the control member longitudinally movable relative to the catheter and including an abutment structure proximate a distal end thereof, and a clip assembly releasably coupleable to a distal end of the applicator, the clip assembly including a pair of clip arms, a proximal end of each of the clip arms slidably received within a channel of a capsule and configured to be releasably coupled to the distal end of the control member so that the clip arms are movable relative to the capsule between a tissue receiving configuration and a tissue clipping configuration, the capsule including proximal tabs movable between a biased non-engaging and an engaging configuration, in which the proximal tabs engage an engaging portion of the lumen of the catheter, when the abutment structure is received within the capsule.

  • Publication number: 20180049745
Abstract: A system for treating tissue including a clip assembly including a pair of clip arms, a proximal end of each of the clip arms slidably received within a channel of a capsule and moveable between a tissue receiving configuration and a tissue clipping configuration. The system also including an applicator releasably coupleable to the clip assembly, the applicator including a control member connectable to the proximal end of each of the clip arms and a locking sleeve coupleable to a proximal end of the capsule via a deflectable tab including an engaging structure configured to engage a corresponding engaging structure at the proximal end of the capsule and a releasing structure proximal of the engaging structure, the releasing structure engagable with a portion of the control member to deflect the deflectable member and disengage the engaging structure of the locking sleeve from the corresponding engaging structure of the capsule.
