    Abstract: A process for producing a methacrylic resin molded article having a surface fine structure with a high aspect ratio. The method includes injecting a composition into a cell or cavity provided with a negative pattern corresponding to the surface fine structure, and solidifying the composition in the cell or cavity by polymerization. The composition contains components A, B, and C. A: an unsaturated monomer mixture, which includes 20 to 90% by weight of an unsaturated monomer including methylmethacrylate as a major component, and 10 to 80% by weight of an unsaturated monomer having at least two polymerizable double bonds in one molecule; B: a polymer of an unsaturated monomer including methylmethacrylate as a major component, which polymer includes 20 to 100% by weight of partially crosslinked polymer particles and 0 to 80% by weight of non-crosslinked polymer particles; and C: a polymerization initiator.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for coating a plate with a coating solution comprising the steps of: holding the plate in such a manner that surfaces of the plate to be coated are aligned substantially parallel to a gravity direction; moving the plate in a direction parallel to the surfaces of the plate and at a right angle to the gravity direction; passing the plate between two coating rolls to which the coating solution is applied, which rolls rotate in the same direction as that of the plate while being in contact with the surfaces of the plate, and which rotation axes are substantially perpendicular to a moving direction of the plate and to normal direction of the surfaces of the plate; and forming a film of the coating solution on at least one surface of the plate.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a coated plate comprising the steps of: holding a plate in such a manner that surfaces of the plate to be coated is aligned substantially parallel to a gravity direction; placing the plate between two coating rolls having substantially horizontal rotation axes; passing the plate between the coating rolls, wherein a coating solution is supplied to at least one coating roll and the plate almost contacts with the coating rolls, by moving the plate upward and/or moving the coating rolls downward while causing the coating rolls to rotate in a direction opposite to movement of the plate; and forming a film of the coating solution on at least one surface of the plate. By this method, a coated plate having substantially even coating thickness is obtained and both sides of a plate can be coated at a time and at a faster speed, which results in a superior productivity.
