  • Patent number: 7719533
Abstract: A technique is provided for modeling a network relationship via providing a graphical representation of the network relationship and labeling the graphical representation based on a symbol sequence. Further, one or more tools is provided by the present technique for interactively visualizing and/or analyzing the graphical representation of the network relationship based on the symbol sequence.

  • Patent number: 7676257
Abstract: A technique is provided for automatically generating a bone mask in CTA angiography. In accordance with the technique, an image data set may be pre-processed to accomplish a variety of function, such as removal of image data associated with the table, partitioning the volume into regionally consistent sub-volumes, computing structures edges based on gradients, and/or calculating seed points for subsequent region growing. The pre-processed data may then be automatically segmented for bone and vascular structure. The automatic vascular segmentation may be accomplished using constrained region growing in which the constraints are dynamically updated based upon local statistics of the image data. The vascular structure may be subtracted from the bone structure to generate a bone mask. The bone mask may in turn be subtracted from the image data set to generate a bone-free CTA volume for reconstruction of volume renderings.

  • Publication number: 20080095465
Abstract: A moving image is aligned with a fixed image by an initial gross alignment, followed by identification of particular regions or blobs in the moving image. The blobs may be selected based upon particular features in regions of the image, such as anatomical features in a medical image. Blob matching is performed between the selected blobs and the fixed image, and transforms are developed for displacement of the matched blobs. Certain blobs may be dropped from the selection to enhance performance. Individual transformations for individual pixels or voxels in the moving image are then interpolated from the transforms for the blobs.

  • Publication number: 20040136602
Abstract: A technique for compressing data using non-dyadic wavelet transforms. The non-dyadic wavelet transforms may be derived from a generalized model or specific non-dyadic wavelet transforms may be constructed as needed to enhance the desired image qualities in a compressed image. The non-dyadic wavelet transforms may be differentially applied to different data dimensions to accommodate non-square transformations. In addition, the non-dyadic wavelet transforms can be cascaded to achieve novel image resolutions in the compressed images.

  • Publication number: 20040139121
Abstract: A method for embedding a data set in a host data is provided. The method comprises, identifying available portions in the host data that are not required for lossless decoding of the host data and embedding the data set in the available portions of the host data. The resulting combined data is stored in a memory device.

  • Publication number: 20040101205
Abstract: A data coding system is provided for coding an uncompressed data and decoding the coded data. The data coding system comprises a position coding system for defining a context based upon a position of a most significant bit in the uncompressed data and a context value, an encoder for encoding the context to generate an encoded context and compiling the uncompressed data based on the encoded context and remaining bits of the uncompressed data to generate a coded data, and a decoder for decoding the coded data to generate a decoded data.
