  • Publication number: 20070240585
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an embossing system, methods for its use, and articles produced therefrom. In one embodiment, the embossing system comprises: an embossing apparatus, a coating zone, and a curing zone. The embossing apparatus is capable of producing an embossed film. The coating zone is capable of disposing a coating onto the surface features, wherein the coating comprises a well depth that is equal to or greater than one-half of the average height of the surface features. In one embodiment, a film making process comprises: heating a polymer, embossing the polymer to form an embossed film, disposing a coating on the embossed film, and curing the coating.

  • Patent number: 7212494
Abstract: A method and system for the fair allocation of unused guaranteed bandwidth. Data segments of at least one class of service are received at each of a plurality of ingress line cards. Each class of service has a guaranteed percentage of transmission bandwidth. The system uses a must-serve bit to mark a number of data cells within each class of service. The number of cells marked depends on the guaranteed bandwidth percentage for the particular class of service. The mark is referred to as “must-serve” since the scheduler must serve the particular class of service to the extent of the marked cells in order to meet the guaranteed bandwidth. The generic switch fabric monitors the cells and the switch CPU reallocates bandwidth so that only the marked cells are provided preferential transmission. Non-marked cells compete equally for excess bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20070037960
Abstract: Disclosed herein are copolyester embossed film and methods of making the same. In one embodiment, the film making process comprises forming a substrate film, wherein the substrate film comprises a copolyester stilbene polymer, embossing the substrate film to form an embossed film, and cross-linking the embossed film. In another embodiment, the process comprises forming a substrate film, embossing the substrate film to form an embossed film, and cross-linking the embossed film. The substrate film comprises a copolyester comprising repeating units derived from stilbene dicarboxylic acid, 1,4 cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid, and 1,4-cyclohexane dimethanol.

  • Publication number: 20060153187
Abstract: According to the present invention, methods and apparatus are provided to improve the techniques and mechanisms for forwarding packets at a fibre channel switch. A combined area table/domain table (ATDT) is accessed using destination information associated with a fibre channel packet. Area/port or domain information can be used to address entries in the ATDT. Each entry provides one or more paths to a given destination. Traffic shaping, load balancing, and other policy based forwarding considerations can be applied.
