  • Patent number: 12156718
Abstract: The present invention is directed to systems and methods for identifying a cardiovascular disease of a patient. In one embodiment, the method includes obtaining measurements for a diastolic pressure, a systolic pressure, a heartbeat period, a stroke volume, and an ejection period for the patient, and then determining an aortic compliance for the patient based on these measurements. The diastolic pressure, systolic pressure, and heartbeat period are each measured directly from the patient, and the stroke volume and ejection period are each measured from echocardiogram data. In another embodiment, the method includes obtaining measurements for a diastolic pressure and a systolic pressure for the patient, obtaining an estimate of a stroke volume for the patient, and then determining an aortic compliance for the patient based on the diastolic pressure, the systolic pressure, and the stroke volume.

  • Publication number: 20020133279
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling straight line travel of a tracked machine having a left track and a right track. The method and apparatus includes initiating a straight line travel mode of the tracked machine, determining an initial heading angle of a heading sensor located on the tracked machine, sensing a deviation in heading angle from the initial heading angle as the tracked machine travels, determining a heading angle error in response to the deviation in heading angle, and adjusting the speed of at least one of the left and right tracks to compensate for the heading angle error.

  • Patent number: 6220144
Abstract: A cylinder block for a hydrostatic transmission has a rotatable piston housing with a plurality of piston bores arranged in a circular pattern in the housing. A piston element is slidably mounted in each bore. Each of the piston elements has an outer end extendible out of an open end of each of the bores. A well or socket having a rounded bottom portion is in the outer end of each of the pistons. A piston slipper element comprising an arcuate base (a ball) is rotatably mounted in the socket. An arm extends outwardly from the ball and has a laterally extending flat planar surface at the other end. The flat planar surface slidably engages a swashplate having a planar control surface. The distance from the center of the ball to the flat planar surface is greater than the diameter of the piston element.
