  • Patent number: 12604434
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product are provided. Fan speed is determined for one or more air conditioning unit (ACU) fans and stored to computer memory in response to detecting a request for authorized entrance to the modular data center. ACU fans are adjusted in preparation to deploying retractable baffles that, when deployed, form a temporary vestibule within a space of the modular data center. The retractable baffles are deployed to form the temporary vestibule within the space of the modular data center. Computing resources in the modular data center are shielded from contaminant air that enters the temporary vestibule when the external door is open. The external door is unlocked to allow user entrance to the temporary vestibule. When the external door closes, air is purged from the temporary vestibule. Retractable baffles are retracted. The fan speeds are restored from the computer memory.

  • Patent number: 12596363
Abstract: Described are techniques for artificial intelligence (AI) assisted recommendations for component parts for end-products that reduce the occurrence of a product failures. The techniques include obtaining measurement data for groups of component parts configured to be assembled as part of an end-product. The techniques further include obtaining specification scores for the component parts included in the groups of component parts based on the measurement data. The techniques further include selecting a component part combination from the groups of component parts using artificial intelligence analysis of the specification scores to determine that the component part combination decreases a probability of a product failure as compared to historical occurrences of the product failure. The techniques further include outputting information for at least one component part included in the component part combination.

  • Patent number: 12585556
Abstract: An approach for managing and minimized failure of one or more devices in a computerized cluster and/or vehicle infrastructure is disclosed. The proactive approach for mitigating such black swan events as it relate to hardware failures (e.g., servers, network, vehicle systems/architecture, etc.). The approach would proactively inactivate “suspect” components (i.e., components that are completely functional in multiple systems) based on component vintage data from systems where components have failed or malfunctioned. A dedicated service is actively updating suspect components and their respective vintages spread across various systems. Furthermore, the approach backups components using different vintages are effectively utilized to avoid complete system failure.

  • Patent number: 12537263
Abstract: A system and method for flushing the electrolyte out of an electrolyte flushable battery apparatus during a thermal runaway event. At least one condition of the electrolyte flushable battery apparatus is monitored to detect a potential thermal runaway event based on the at least one condition exceeding a threshold value. In response the inlet valve and outlet valves on the battery apparatus are opened. A flushing liquid is flushed or pumped through the battery apparatus where the flushing liquid enters the apparatus through the inlet valve and leaves the apparatus through the outlet valve. The flushing liquid is then stored in a reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20240397672
Abstract: Described is an edge container of an edge data center that includes information technology (IT) racks holding IT equipment. Furthermore, the edge container includes at least one air conditioning unit configured to provide cool air to an aisle which enters an inlet side of the IT racks. Additionally, the edge container includes an economizer that includes an internal and an external heat exchanger. The economizer is then activated to increase a transfer of heat/cooling between an internal environment of the edge container and an external environment in response to a reading of an environmental condition being below a temperature of exhaust air in a hot aisle of the edge container which exits an outlet side of the IT racks. If, however, the reading of the external environmental condition is not below the temperature of the exhaust air in the hot aisle of the edge container, then the economizer is deactivated.

  • Patent number: 12141759
Abstract: An approach for determining an infrastructure service interruption is disclosed. The approach relies on utilizing UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicle) to map electronic signals (e.g., Wi-Fi, etc.) that emanates from building structures (e.g., residential, commercial, etc.). Electronic signals having a certain frequency or multiple frequencies may be used. Essentially, the approach can detect power/signal loss by comparing differences in Wi-Fi signal maps pre and post event (e.g., severe thunderstorm, etc.). The 24/7 event monitoring is carried out by using UAVs and the UAVs can operate on a regular or event driven schedule vs. continuously operating multiple fixed data collection units.
