  • Publication number: 20060090793
Abstract: Systems and methods for recycling drain water, which exists substantially at atmospheric pressure, are presented. The systems and methods employ a venturi restriction, inserted into a water line, for creating a low-pressure zone in the water line, and feeding the drain water to the water line at the location of the low-pressure zone, thus causing the drain water to be drawn into the water line.

  • Patent number: 6223999
Abstract: A static sprinkler presettable to select a desired water discharge pattern includes a lower part formed with a cavity defined by a cylindrical surface and extending axially from an inner end of the lower part serving as a water inlet through the outer end of the lower part; and an upper part carried by the lower part and having a cylindrical stem received within the cavity and engaging the cylindrical surface. The upper part is rotatably presettable with respect to the lower part to align one of a plurality of water discharge openings in one part with a passageway in the other part to thereby enable selection of the water discharge pattern of the sprinkler.

  • Patent number: 5601381
Abstract: Irrigation apparatus includes a feeder line connectible to a source of pressurized water, and an outer line of larger diameter than, and enclosing, the feeder line to define an annular water chamber between them. The outer line includes a plurality of irrigation devices spaced along its length communicating with the water chamber. A plurality of pulsator devices are spaced along the length of the feeder line and connect the feeder line to the water chamber.

  • Patent number: 4964572
Abstract: A rotary sprinkler includes a rotably-mounted sprinkler head, an oscillating arm for impacting the sprinkler head to impart a rotary motion thereto, a spring urging the oscillating arm in one direction, and a reaction member carried by the oscillating arm and having an inlet alignable with the discharge nozzle for receiving the water jet, and an outlet laterally of the inlet for imparting a rotary motion to the oscillating arm in the opposite direction by reaction. The reaction member includes a cylindrical tube bent to define a single helical loop which produces a helical path of travel of the water from its inlet to its outlet extending laterally of the discharge nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4721331
Abstract: A female connector member for use in a quickly-attachable connector assembly with a male connector member comprises a housing formed with a socket for receiving the male connector member and further formed with a pair of circumferentially-spaced openings through a wall leading into said socket; and a locking member having a flexible arcuate section received on the outer face of the housing, and a pair of oblique locking elements normally projecting through the openings into the socket for locking the male connector member therein. The outer faces of the locking elements are inclined at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the socket and converge in the direction of the mouth of the socket, such as to facilitate the insertion of the male connector member into the socket by a small push force and to lock the male connector member against withdrawal from the socket even by a large pull force.
