  • Patent number: 5639330
Abstract: An image display element comprising a vacuum exterior container including a face plate and a back housing. A cathode is located within the vacuum exterior container. A control electrode controls electron beams projected from the cathode and a fluorescent layer generates light by projecting the electron beams, and a metal back layer provided on the fluorescent layer projects the light of fluorescent layer forward by the effect of specular gloss. A carbon layer is provided on the metal back layer to reduce the generation of backwardly scattered light. The metal back layer and carbon layer are provided by releasing from a supporter having mold release characteristics. The thickness of the metal back layer is determined in relation to the predetermined supply voltage such that the energy transmission factor of the reflected and dispersed electrons on the image display element is less than 30%.

  • Patent number: 5412867
Abstract: The present invention intends to provide a gap-forming sheet for laminating a plurality of flat plate electrodes, for example, for controlling electron beam at high accuracy in a short period of time. Gap-forming sheets each including a support member formed by depolymerizing resin, gap members for providing gaps between the flat plate electrodes, and a bonding paste for bonding the flat plate electrodes, are held between the flat plate electrodes, which are baked to decompose the support members, and thus, by melting the bonding paste, the flat plate electrodes are joined together for lamination, with gaps being provided by the gap members.

  • Patent number: 5141461
Abstract: This invention proposes methods of effectively forming a metal-backed layer and an anode using a metal film transferring sheet in which micro-holes are formed. that is, the metal film transferring sheet is structured by forming a metal film on a mold-releasable, highly characteristic sheet. Then, the metal film having micro-holes of the metal film transferring sheet is transferred onto a phosphor screen. Or, on the metal film of the above-mentioned metal film transferring sheet, is formed a phosphor screen and the metal film, the phosphor screen, etc. are all transferred onto a face plate form an anode of a cathode-ray tube. Then the methods proposed by this invention are applied for making phosphor products of, for example, a cathode-ray tube or a plasma display. According to these methods, there is no need to use a large-scaled manufacturing facility and high quality, low cost products can be obtainable.

  • Patent number: 4642500
Abstract: An electromagnetic bearing apparatus having five degrees of freedom includes two radial magnetic bearings. Each of the radial bearings consists of two pairs of electromagnets. The electromagnets of one pair are arranged opposite one another around a rotating shaft, and the other pair is arranged in the same perpendicular plane as the preceding pair. The pairs of electromagnets in the two radial bearings are respectively controlled to stabilize the rotating shaft to obtain automatic regulation, in which deviation of the shaft in a radial sense is compensated according to the component of shaft radial deviation and deviating velocity and the gyro-effect which will be caused by the perpendicular compensating torque to compensate the future rotation in the perpendicular component.
